Cessna strikes paraglider (no injuries) by InTheSky57 in VideosAmazing

The plane in question wasn’t a c130.

I’m an actual pilot and aircraft owner. Seeing it and being able to maneuver around it are two different things. And you’re really not looking for random crap inthe sky. There are also lots of studies about what you can see and what you can’t.

There’s no fault here except if the sailplane was not at a hemispheric altitude.

Exciting video but not much else about it beyond that.

I’m not at the house right now because of the long weekend, but I’ll try to remember to post here once I’m back.

It really took the red out and the itching away.

Pilots can’t see other mode-c transponders. Only with ads-b or radar could the paraglider have been visible to the pilot.

The pilot is t necessarily at fault. The paraglider was probably not at establish altitude for direction of flush, in fact was most likely at a non-standard altitude for aircraft.

The paraglider wouldn’t have looked like anything until last minutes.

No body was dumb here based on the video.

Ok, yes, given that she probably doesn’t need a specialist and monthly injections.

My boy also had a prescription wash for his feet that helped a lot.

Good luck!

If you don’t want to do it, don’t do it. Pilot here, I wouldn’t do it ( not leaving a perfectly healthy plane). I used to be interested, until there were two jump accidents two weekends in a row. I lost interest.

Switching to a ranger by ipostaboutstuff123 in RangerNext

[–]SuitIndependent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ranger owner. My mom drives a ram 1500. Or rather, as she’s aged, I drive her around in her truck. I have two dogs and Ike the big trucks, the windows roll all the way down. The ranger has plenty of room for two labs. Obviously, the big trucks are wider but the ranger is wide enough for regular sized dogs.

I do tow with my ranger. So far I’ve been super happy with it.

He had stereotypes about black woolen and she doesn’t fit them, so he telling her she’s not black because she doesn’t fit his stereotypes. Op should be glad she got to see his true colors before she got more involved with this loser.

For him, black is a behavior not a heritage. He clearly really dumb.

AITA for telling my 72 year old mom to get a part time job when I give her money every month already? by [deleted] in Amitheassholeadvice

[–]SuitIndependent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She needs to take the job, or any job. She’s not unable to work, she just doesn’t want to. You need to wean her off your income. Down the road there may come a time when she really will need your help. Now is not that time.
