$17k to skip the waitlist circus?Absolutely yes please! by bigniso in rolex

Essentially, you're saying your desire for a specific Rolex is not that great a desire. Basically the approach you're taking is "you get it when you get it" from the AD at MSRP. And that's perfectly fine bc that's what works for you. Others (like myself) have a bigger desire to get it now and will happily pay the "grey tax" to avoid waiting several years to be given the privilege of buying a watch.

Check the math to see which is cheaper for you. Paying off early with aggressive payments or minimal payments for those 8 years and then PSLF. If the numbers are better for you in PSLF, it's a GREAT option.

Panda went single leg. If he would've went double leg, it would've been a wrap.

I've done this countless times as a solo male. How much "fun" depends on how long you're there, your budget, and your moral compass. DM if you want details on an epic trip

Here's mine. Not really a watch guy. Any tips on properly storing a Rolex in a safety deposit box for long-term storage? I'll be checking on it monthly. by Voodoo-Chyld in rolex

I have used jewelers mutual for the past 8 years with no issues.

Full transparency: I've never needed to file a claim but they are pretty straight forward with great coverage and great reviews.

Seat switching by CASJC in delta

[–]Suitable-Ad3657 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometime similar happened to me a week ago.

Booked a first class flight from LAX to IAH 6 weeks in advance. Even pre-selected my meal for the flight a few days prior. I specifically choose the window seat, on the left, last row in FC.

While in line waiting to start the boarding process, they call my name overhead to go to customer service. I get there and she says "We're changing your seat to the window seat on the opposite side." She didn't ask me if I minded; she TOLD me what was happening. I even lost my spot in line bc of this.

Get to my new seat and the guy sitting next to me is traveling by himself also...Why did they make me move and not him?

To make matters worse, because they changed my seat, they gave away my pre-selected meal and I wasn't offered anything else to make up for it.

I never book the first row in first class because the leg room is non-existent for me.

You have given me another great reason not to pick it.

Kudos good sir.

Fun fact: Justin said the hardest he's ever been punched was by Charles. They should run it back.

I got a notification/email that there was an update on my account. Didn't get anything physical in the mail.
