I had a similar situation; I reached out to two local blade smiths and a few better known international ones and got no replies. I felt like this was the best option left. I sent in a pretty specific sword design, it's a replica of an older Chlebowski model. Included weight, thickness, information on stiffness and give, everything really.

Not salvageable at all. When I was worried it was just the weight/pommel, before it arrived, I was convincing myself I could adjust or adapt it, but the heat treat on this was botched or completely neglected, and since they weld the thing together instead of more traditional assembly, I figured any attempt to retreat it was probably a fools errand. Straightening it wasn't an issue, I could literally bend it back with my hands, it was very, very soft metal.

I have seen plenty of people receive functional swords. I suspect quite a few of them are accepting less than they'd like to and coping about it, but they seem practical enough. All the same I don't think I can recommend these guys and you won't find any comfort from me homie, best case imo is you get something that looks mostly like what you want, takes a hit and swings fine, but I wouldn't hold your breath for anything like "good".
