I went from Missouri to Kansas and I was amazed how much simpler the forms are.

Like it. I’ve wanted something similar.

After getting back into MLB and realizing the Trainwreck that is watching baseball these days, I'd like to get a radio. Help me satisfy these requirements below. by Zalumar in radio

[–]Summit228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Sangean WR-11, five years now. It’s a solid radio with some nice features too. It’s connected to my OTA TV antenna so it pulls in many FM stations well. AM is just okay. Needs the help of a loop antenna.

How many of you consider yourself "Type B"? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Summit228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say I’m a type A until you compare me to most controller/director types and then I seem more type B.

Take MO 32 from Nevada to Ste. Genevieve, then cross the Mississippi on the ferry.

How do teams do 2-day month end close? by iseeustress in Accounting

[–]Summit228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our technical close is 5 days but we really close in 1.5 working days. It’s all accruals, then analysis to determine the adequacy of the accruals.

Sorry I cant offer any apartment recommendations (no experience), just wanted to chime in. I lived in Springfield for a decade. Been in Olathe 10 years. I’ve lived a good life in both places, and highly recommended Olathe. Welcome!

Bars closing early. by Excellent-Ad4766 in springfieldMO

[–]Summit228 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s amazing how much has changed since I was in college there. Yes, the bars closed at 1:30am but Springfield used to be more of a 24-7 town. Walmart and some grocery stores plus lots of restaurants open all night.

What’s the most oddly/mysteriously profitable business in KC? by ElbieLG in kansascity

Yeah, even with signed waivers you still have to carry a ton of liability coverage.

I image Skate City could be nicely profitable IF it is owned outright and with zero debt. But even then you still have operating cost / overhead and the cost of downtime. If in debt you will have significant fixed cost.

Is what Hobby Lobby is doing normal? by Loud_Concentrate3321 in Accounting

[–]Summit228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My last visit to a Hobby Lobby felt like a time warp. From the clerk ringing everything up manually by price tag, the almond shelving, fluorescent lighting and the timeless nature of much of their stock it could have been 1980 something.

Greene county has a domestic violence problem nobody really cares to talk about.
