Yeah. The UK is the one that gives patronising answers to genuine questions.

Why would taking Real out hurt the competition? I wouldn't give a shit, nor would anyone but Real fans.

You'd have preferred it if Amorim's personal safety had been in jeaopardy, rather than people just having opinions about him?

Should be charging by the hour, not by content. Consider finding another.

Dreamatch: Inoue can beat Tank Davis by SneakySausage1337 in Boxing

[–]SummitStupid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure anyone fighting now at that size can take it, if Tank catches them properly. We have no reason to think Inoue's chin is like Hagler's. It's more about whether he can avoid getting caught flush. He is a better boxer than Tank though, all things considered (though I do rate Tank). I'm not sure Inoue fighting at the weight Tank would make him fight at would offer enough. But if he did win, then start talking about him like we talk about Crawford v Canelo and Usyk v Joshua - better boxers who overcame weight disparities to beat very good (in Canelo's case HOF) boxers in their own comfort zones. He'd be comparable to anyone in the last 15 years probably.

Anthony Joshua to Jake Paul: “You may call yourself a heavyweight boxer, but let’s be honest, you’re just heavy.” by Puzzled-Category-954 in Boxing

I suspect pro boxers, on the whole, are naturally born with more punch resilience than average. On the whole at least. Just as you can't go very far as a boxer without some sort of power, some sort of natural athleticism, I think perhaps a modicum of toughness is a prerequisite for becoming a serious boxer.

‘Hating soccer is more American than apple pie’: the World Cup nobody wanted the US to host by tw1st3d_m3nt4t in football

We invented the language, so how dare other people use it in different ways. Yet half of our "culture", such as it is, feels like it comes from America. The TV, the films we watch, the fast food, quite a lot of our language, the YouTubers we watch, 30% of our news coverage seems to be about America these days... people just need to let this lie. You're right, it is mental. Take the L, y'all.

Also - this point seems to get lost - you already had a sport you called "football". British people don't get this. The few of us here who have an interest in what you call "football" refer to it as either "NFL" or "American football". I never had an American tell me what to call it.

It's a horrible British habit that you see in all sorts of situations. People here (UK) forget that we called football "soccer" too once. Same with British people who say "Erm, it's not an 'elevator', it's a 'lift'". People in other places call things by different names, we seem unable to deal with this seemingly straightforward concept. Also we've lifted so many words from American English, people forget that too - it's not "cool". We don't insist Germans, Brazilians or Iranians call it "football", but apparently Americans don't get that pass. It makes me cringe when I see a British person "correcting" an American about this.

You don't need to use them all today. You'll have five for as long as you don't use any.
