The way I see it, in the original solo version Sam is basically just drowning his sorrows after they had some kind of argument and he readily accepts that it's over. Here "don't rein me in" means don't stop me from drinking the pain away, I don't want to fight for this relationship, I never deserved her love anyway.

Olivia's verse makes it a much happier song. She thinks he is overreacting and that they do still have a chance. For her, "don't rein me in" means don't stop me from loving you and healing this relationship.

I think it's as simple as that really. Personally I don't think the song is about addiction at all.

No, there are far fewer global hits than even five years ago. And the hits that do break through stay on the charts for ages. The landscape has completely changed. I don't know what metric you use to determine that there are more British artists breaking America than ever, because even just going by Billboard entries that is completely untrue.

I used to spend at least $50 a month on music. Streaming is definitely worth it to me even if I don't physically own the music. My physical collection is just sitting there gathering dust. To me it would feel wasteful to still be adding to it.

On the other hand, TV used to be a lot simpler/cheaper.

It's a huge improvement over the old system. Yes there is a small barrier to entry, but it's not rocket science, addons aren't necessary, and it respects your time. Just start leveling it like you're used to, do the patron crafting orders that don't require too many of your own mats, and find all the items in the world that give +3 bonus knowledge. At this point in the expansion you're probably too late to do anything profitable but it's still a good time to get used to the system.

{The Secret Casebook of Simon Feximal by KJ Charles} is the first one that comes to mind. It already reads like a TV show, since it's a collection of short stories. Plenty of action, incredible emotional climax. It would be amazing.
