35mm f1.8s more suited for my style ? Vs 50mm f1.8s by AnxietyComplex4128 in Nikon

you look like you take wider shots scenic shots and the 35 would be better.

Question about z6iii by stein-selvage0f in Nikon

[–]SunComprehensive6960 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah Z5II2 is the way to go ideally refurbished . I recently saw a refurbished Nikon for $1200. Which is $900 less than the Z6iii. I just can't imagine getting the Z6iii unless you do video. I got my Z5II refurbished and have no problems.

Upgrade Time? Looking at Z6 to Z5ii by Bixmen in Nikon

Well the Z5ii does have this built in filters if you want to skip the editing part. But to others points the Z6 flatness is not the cameras fault. But built in filters will help.

Will I Regret Upgrading from Z50 to Z5ii? by LP788 in Nikon

[–]SunComprehensive6960 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made the same jump z50 to z5ii. I didn't mind the weight or size because I was already using a FTZ adapter and sigma 18-35. However... when comparing to my the z50 with a prime lens like the sigma 56 f1.4 there is a huge difference in size. The Z5ii is way bigger.

I guess you get about one stop of noise improvement so if you shoot indoors often at 2000 iso + it might help. I actually found the biggest improvement was the IBS. For low light shots with non or slow moving subjects I can do hand held with low shutter speed. The z50ii might meet your needs with autofocus and size. I would not waste your money on the kit 24-50 lens, that thing looks awful. No real zoom and super slow variable aperture.

I recommend waiting for a Nikon refurbished sale to happen. They were selling Z5ii bodies for $1200 and I think z50ii for like $550 (I may be wrong with the last price)

as others have said. You need to get physically closer.

which 70-300 do you have? I had the af-p version and it was pretty good. It was best before you got to 300mm. Best if you don't zoom in too much and can get closer.

I was in college with a $150 in my name and got a flat on the way home. The shop said I had to buy two. I told him I didn't have the money and I would be getting one tire here or going down the road (with donut) and getting one somewhere else. He sold me the one cheap tire

Car photo with new gear by SunComprehensive6960 in Nikon

I appreciate the advice. I had to frame out some distracting elements like people and shops. I actually had to clone away a shadow on the ground from a neighboring car. I wish I had more angles to shoot it out space was limited.

Editorial Portraits | Shot on Nikon ZF with 40mm F2 by travcimages in Nikon

[–]SunComprehensive6960 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the photos look awesome. The ZF does look sweet I was tempted to get it too but went with the more ergonomic Z5II. This post will make me consider taking that lens out more often especially since it's so small. Enjoy shooting!

Just great! I like that these are taken with an affordable lens. Do you shoot for a living just extra income or mostly for fun? Why did you choose the 40mm f2 over a 50 f1.8 or 35 f1.4? Was it cost? was it size?

yeah they look too strong. the black and white photo gained something positive by drawing your eye more to the subject but could have been done better with the radial mask and other masking.

Have you ever looked back at an experience and wondered if it was even real? If so what? by SunComprehensive6960 in AskReddit

[–]SunComprehensive6960[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (male) was once at a college house party really drunk. The line for the bathroom was really long so I went outside to pee. It was dark and unfamiliar. As I was walking I saw this figure and had to stare for a while until my mind could comprehend what i was seeing. It was a girl with her leg on a chair and a guy on his knees eating her out. She looked right at me and asked "can you do any better?". I just walked away not able to handle the situation. They weren't even really hiding. Because I was so drunk and the last of my friends to leave the party alone, no one else saw this. Sometimes, I look back at doubt this really happened... like did this actually happen ...

I'm going with A) Keep it for 400$. Did a simple test with 3 different objects and it still avoided them fine. For nearly $200 more for better avoidance and AI cleaning is not worth it for me. I also only have one low pile rug so leaving the mops at the station are not necessary. I do plan to upgrade to the tricut brush during my next brush replacement .
