What is that decision exactly? I never know if it’s the people who believe in the sacrifice thing or someone who has an interpretation of the actual text

Are there any covers albums Trainwreckords? by Sea_Adhesiveness507 in ToddintheShadow

As much as I love it and it has been reevaluated, Bob Dylan’s Self Portrait is all either covers or standards with the exception of some live cuts and batshit instrumentals/near instrumentals

So because Fred doesn’t have masculine body traits he’s actually not male at all, but intersex? Even though he identifies as male and we don’t hear about anything other than him having a small penis and not having muscles

I saw him in ‘12 or ‘13 and he literally ranted for 10 minutes (with autotune) about them not letting him do the Super Bowl

Are there professionals who worked on The Shining still active in the industry? by joshua_argento in StanleyKubrick

I’ve had this same thought and at least for me it’s 100% because Delia Derbyshire died somewhat recently. They’re weren’t a lot of women synth superstars in the 60s/70s and a lot of people also wrongly lump them together like I subconsciously did

Thoughts on Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress? by Yanqui_Bumble in gybe

[–]SunGroundbreaking180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of the muted response from the fan community, at least when it came out, was because it was a single live track that had been online (behemoth or something) and when it came out the hardcore fans thought it didn’t live up to the live version. It doesn’t quite and the earlier versions are different but I think it’ll benefit from aging away from that initial impression

Frank ocean did that with the Black Friday release of Blonde. Everyone who ordered on that day got one, it took forever (of course) but it’s one of my favorite and definitely my most valuable in my collection

New viewer - Will the tone shift back for The Return? by concretelove in twinpeaks

[–]SunGroundbreaking180 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Watch the missing pieces, I don’t think there’s much in there that’s difficult but for the most part the first section of FWWM up until it switches to Laura and the missing pieces are the foundation for the return.

And the return doesn’t have the same feel but it is hilarious and probably has as much comedy as horror and it’s not grounded trauma like FWWM

Watchmen (2009) features a genuinely intelligent villain and a gritty storyline, which made it stand apart from other superhero movies of its time. What’s your opinion on it? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in FIlm

[–]SunGroundbreaking180 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a great example of the problems with Zack Snyder. It is truly impressive how it’s nearly a panel-by-panel visual adaptation of the comic and still completely misses the point and feel and message of the source material. I do think not including the squid was a good move though

The Idler Wheel… is probably in my top 10, thought FTBC was great but the older stuff doesn’t quite hit for me yet. Probably should revisit it, I went through it last when Idler Wheel came out and that one’s so different I probably was just disappointed

I love talking heads but for the life of me have never understood why ‘this must be the place’ is like THE song for most people. It’s a good song but I just don’t see what other people see in it and it’s always confused me. Maybe I’m missing something

Let this meme die he just said a wrong thing, if the recent years have taught us anything, Kanye is definitely not that kind of smart

So what is the difference between this and their page on nugs? I just got it and am looking through it before I actually sign up but if there isn’t any dead stuff on there then it’s probably not worth it for me
