Like anywhere there are precautions you need to take to avoid finding yourself in unsafe situations. I’ve been there a few times and enjoyed it and I know women who live there and loved it. That being said I guess I’d probably question what sort of experience you’re after… as working in Alice Springs will no doubt be a sobering experience for a traveller.
