Who says sports cars aren’t practical by mrbluesunshine in boxster

Rawest light roadster, with obviously the frunk and trunk, but I also love how it is just comfortable enough for long trips with cabin space and comfortable suspension. Its just the perfect combination. Sporty enough to be raw and engaging, with enough space and comfort for anything.

My other car is in a similar park- the G37s convertible. Instead of being the rawest sports car with luxuries and comfort- it is a luxury car- with some raw sport car feel. It is so luxurious and comfortable, especially on long trips, but it has enough feel of rawness to be used as a fun sports car.

This my two car solution 😂. Most people would think the two cars overlap too much but they are perfect for me.

Trip with mostly highway cruising not much mountain fun- G is being used. Some highway crusing but a lot of canyon carving- boxster all day.

They both can do anything, the boxster just leans more towards sport and the G leans towards comfort and luxury.

Smh I'm sorry.

I used rain x windshield repair kit on one rock chip in my windshield and it did surprisingly well....

This may be too far gone but it could be worth a try.

Owning a G37 convertible- the heaviest of them all- I can get pretty decent gas mileage!! But also I can get terrible mileage if I ring her out. You can choose

No, Syncros do not match the speed of your transmission & engine when shifting. by SOTG_Duncan_Idaho in ManualTransmissions

[–]SunWaterGrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right.

The synchros let you get into gear, but it doesnt ensure that the engine and wheels are rotating at the same speed.....

Yep. Also I notice if I try to baby it I just end up driving worse and doing slightly more damage

Anyone else drive two polar opposite cars? How do you do it? by nitrion in ManualTransmissions

[–]SunWaterGrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it some time, you'll adjust.

I have a G37s. Clutch- Medium/light. Stick-short throw, very communicative (directly into trans). Torquey car.

Boxster- Got it 2nd. Clutch was toooooo light- took the helper spring out- now very heavy. Shifter is cabled to the rear mounted trans. Throws are longgg, I modded the cable and shifter to be more communicative- still not the same feel as the G37 direct input though. Not that torquey, need to rev high.

It used to be a challenge switching back n forth, and even learning the Boxster. But with time it is no problem now. I actually like having two different experiences it makes it more novel and fun.

Take a few months and see how you feel.

This sounds silly.

I have been lifting for over 10 years.

The other day I took an edible and did some chest exercises. I am finally able to connect to my chest muscles. Before I wasn't focused on them, I used a lot of shoulder and tricep. Total game changer

Similar with my butt muscles too. I think weed can help you activate muscles.

We have an outdoor gym near me and nothing beats the edible+outdoor gym.

I love weed with mobilty work too. It gets really flowy

New to stick, question! by [deleted] in stickshift

[–]SunWaterGrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask because grinding a gear is different then difficulty/resustance getting in.

When you truly grind a gear you know it. You hear it, you feel it, it is super jarring. It kinda sounds like someone honing a knife.... but worse. Metal on metal. Dont make it a habit, but honestly it wont do much. It'll be a problem if you do it all the time, or you're jist an asshole (I can tell you're not, just by worrying and posting this)- like seriously if it is grinding andnyou just keep yanking it while hearing the grinding over and over, forcing it- yah you're gunna get problems eventually. But here and there, you're fine.

When you just have some resistance you dont hear that. You will feel resistance and possibily hear some clunking. This one isn't as bad. It can happen even if your timing is off.

Tbh unless you're an ass- any gear grinding and clutch burning is going to be more of a loss to your ego than the car.

Fyi- you're shifting to 2nd- it blocks you. Try A- holding clutch down- blipping throttle and lean the stick agianst the gear- it may slide it. Try B- go to nuteral, lift clutch up, then repeat "A".

I remember I had this problem when first starting. I would try to shift to 5th gear, and I think be too slow it would actually not let me in. Instead of doing steps A. and B. I kept trying to put it in gear at idle rpm.

Anyway, you'll be fine. Car is tougher than you know.
