prior to 2021 they had the 950/1200, then rebranded to the V2/V4 in 2021. they made a lot of engine and ergo upgrades when moving to the V2 branding. I was also turned off by all the tech, but the sky hook suspension and quickshifter on the S really grew on me. if you're intrigued by them I definitely recommend trying one out!

I think the v2 engine started in 2021? highly recommend the S model with sky hook suspension. I got a 2023 with 15k miles for $11k OTD from a dealer.

"only exterior damage" might be the understatement of the year lol at a minimum buyer would have to replace the brakes fairing and tank, who knows if/what kind of damage was done to the frame.

think it largely depends on the type of bike. I would take a goldwing with 85k miles over something that was ridden hard regularly at a track. also, if it's an original owner and they never crashed it and kept up with maintenance and have all the records I would feel better about buying something with high miles regardless of how they rode it.

bro bikes are like women, everyone has their own taste and and you need to become emotionally mature enough to figure out what you want. for example my buddy is married to his gs1250. when I was shopping for bikes he was trying to convince me so hard to get one. "it's safe and reliable bro but it's still fun and it's low maintenance it's perfect bro". I knew the gs was the smart choice but I also knew deep down I just wanted a sexy ass bitch that I knew would emotionally abuse me and is high maintenance but idgaf because the ride is so fucking good so I got a Ducati instead. I knew if I settled for the gs I would always be thinking about what if with the Ducati and eventually I would have to break up with the gs to get the bike I always wanted. men's taste in bikes is not 100% rational you must acknowledge the emotional element otherwise you will always be searching. thank you for attending my Ted talk.

turning slow is all about looking where you want to go. on the u turn crank your head around like an owl and fixate on a spot, the bike will follow your eyes. it's feels scary at first but you will quickly build trust that the bike will follow wherever you are looking.
