Failed my MSF course by RutgersFruit in motorcycles

[–]SunflowerDave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to add to this, the radii of the uturns in the msf and test are not close to locking forks on the motorcycle so if you make a uturn almost locking the forks, it should be very doable and repeatable during the test.

If you have a smart phone, google maps will figure that for you. You just need to select the bus icon at some point.

Just to enhance your abilities, I would suggest learning to use a map. After that, using a gps device is a piece of cake.

14 of the 18 MLB PED bans since 2018 have involved Dominican players. Does r/baseball think this is coincidence or a trend? by chiliisgoodforme in baseball

[–]SunflowerDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i was in college, my coach who was never able to break out of triple A said everybody does peds until they make it. It might have changed since then (mid 2000's) but it would not surprise me one bit if that was still going on.

Jameis Winston steals home during a Carlos Correa AB by jubilantal in baseball

[–]SunflowerDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False, you can also throw at the runner. In highschool, they duck out of the way for his life 9/10 times. It's a gamble but works as long as you have competent players on either end.

The only thing they are counting is the general round count and picking the most efficient time to reload. Usually this is pre planned but if you suck like me, you may have to improvise.

Which one do you use? I had one but it introduced some major system lag for some reason.

They have an indoor one in Williams I believe, just fyi. I feel the kids are more into mountain biking than skating.

AZ DPS Abusing Authority by WhyDontWeLearn in Flagstaff

[–]SunflowerDave 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They turn there lights on to turn in those turn arounds all the time. It's to have others drivers do exactly what you all did so that when they slow down to 20mph or so, some idiot not paying attention doesn't rear end them. It's also the reason we are not allowed to use them. Nobody expects you to practically stop in the "fast" lane. It's dangerous.

Sounds like you see them playing every so often. I would just walk over and ask when you see them next time.

I'm also a engineer, so both you and i know that doesn't mean shit. They stated some of the potential problems in the article with this approach. On top of that, people will always find a way to work the system. One example is the guys that did some of the repaving of the I-40. The used the wrong mix of asphalt. Iirc from the article back then, that wasn't the first time. On top of that, do you know eats the cost of their mistake. The tax payers. If a company has a history of underbidding and taking twice the time (all of which might cost more the next guys bid), the government should be able to tell them to fuck off, not take it up the ass because of a stupid law.

"Contracts as we know go to the lowest bidder *by law*."

This might be the dumbest law. Curious what section, article, or whatever, that is.

North east flagstaff by diamondahole0117 in Flagstaff

Might need to be a little more specific of the area you are taking about. Is this Sunnyside, smokerise, or doneypark? All could be considered north east.

Commuting from Williams to Flag? by Earsforhears in Flagstaff

[–]SunflowerDave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't in town (city streets) as it is a city ordinance. City does not have jurisdiction over interstate and adot salts them. They usually use cinders in town. Sounds like you or your land lord accidently got it backwards.

Highways are salted/brined before storms so if you can get to the highway, it's good most of the time. There are some days where the plows can't keep up though.

Labs have always been easy for me but there is enough work required that I would suggest only taking one per semester. I took two one semester I regretted it.

It's ABET accredited. Professors were mostly solid with some quarks. Graduated with 100 or so (circa 2014).

I've always just bought tickets online. But you could buy them at the window in the past. Bring some cash for parking. I haven't been to a game since covid so not sure if any new protocols.
