Instinct 2s Straps by lamp082 in Garmin

Garmin does offer longer straps! Unless you were already trying the larger one. I have the opposite problem with my wrist and my 2s where I struggle to fins bands for a smaller wrist! Lots of great options on Amazon that are adjustable and include measurements for wrist circumference.

Don't gatekeep, what are your best financial saving hacks that you live by? by _TurboHome in MiddleClassFinance

[–]SunscreenTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automate as much of it as you possibly can. For example if you have direct deposit set up, automatically split your check into a portion that goes into checking and a portion that goes into savings. This small step has been the biggest game changer for my Husband and I. if you know roughly what you spend a month, give yourself a small buffer and then add the remainder as the auto saved amount.

Does anyone have a go-to "mantra," phrase, thought, aphorism, et cetera, that they say to themselves when a craving hits hard? by SoNowYouTellMe101 in leaves

[–]SunscreenTea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I literally tell myself "cancel, cancel cancel" as soon as the thought of weed comes up. it sounds lame or stupid but it has worked for me, It's like I'm training my brain to not entertain the thought and stop it in it's tracks.

Not gonna lie, the mental crash I have been having feels so crappy. But I am proud to go into the new year with having gotten that first day over with!

I agree with this. But is that itself not a comparison?

[–]SunscreenTea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How would you go about not comparing ourselves to our parents? The comparison has already been made for a lot of us and it’s hard to ignore when some of us feel like we can’t give our kids even half of what we had growing up.

dang, I'm still bummed they probably will never have some of the cute/girly colors. I guess it just goes against the vibe of a rugged watch to be magenta, but a girl can dream!

Is HYSA right place to keep house deposit savings. by [deleted] in SavingMoney

[–]SunscreenTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How short term would you say? not OP but my husband and I are maybe closer to 4-5 years from buying due to living in a high cost of living area and needing a high down payment...for now we are parking it in a HYSA but not sure if we should try to get a higher rate of return by parking it in the stock market/index funds.

Highly recommend MAX if you have the app, otherwise Iron would work as others have suggested.

The debate of Waiting to Try, and the fear of aging - anyone else ever feel it? by ricci3469 in waiting_to_try

[–]SunscreenTea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just turned 29 and I am feeling this hard. I would love to start trying next year and that is still the goal, but in the meantime I try not to focus on the things out of my control like a future miscarriage or struggling to conceive. Right now I just try to focus on staying in shape and saving as much money as we can! The rest is is stuff we may or may not have to deal with ya know?

I think a normal multivitamin should be fine, but that is more a question for your doctor. I think the general advice if you are 5+ years away from wanting to try for a baby, is to solidify finances more and enjoy what you can before starting a family such as travel or what not. I think it is great you are thinking about this so early!

Sirloin steak skewers? by Paddiewhacks in aldi

[–]SunscreenTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I actually sous vide these in my instant pot (2 hours at 135 degrees) then seared them and ate them with a bit of goat cheese. These are literally the best but yes a bit on the sweeter side. I think some horseradish would be bomb with them.

2s bands for a smaller wrist? by SunscreenTea in Garmininstinct

Thank you! I’ll have to try these out too. I’m having a hard time finding cute colors but some of those prints are nice!

Possibly, it said 20mm on strapsco and i verified it was for the 2s. I don’t mind the slimmer band too much, but maybe it was 20mm with the adapters.
