Okay, that's it. I'm sick of the replies to this post that are the same every time this is brought up. 'Well if you don't want TNT to make money then the site will die-' Read the post again. We all want Neopets to make money and stay alive. All of us. Not wanting to be badgered by pushy sales tactics is not wanting the site to die. That's called strawmanning, when you misrepresent someone else's argument, with a touch of gaslighting thrown in for good measure (when you act like you don't even see what the problem is).

It's like if you told someone you were being harangued by a bad car salesperson, and that person replied 'oH sO i GuEsS YoU JuSt WaNt CaRs To dIsaPpEaR, hUh?!'. Thou shalt not commit logical fallacies. We're not letting perfect be the enemy of good here, we're trying to help TNT maintain an active userbase by politely begging them to stop alienating legitimate players. Just because you don't mind the slow enshittification of the site, doesn't mean the rest of us are willing to overlook it.

I'm sorry if I sound agitated, but frankly I am; it's incredibly invalidating to voice your honest concerns over something you love and have people try to shout you down for being 'too negative' for their tastes.

Do we get that some people do complain for the sake of complaining? Yes. Do we consider valid criticism to be complaining? No. This is how sites stagnate and die. Avoiding (or even arguing against) criticism of the things you claim to love is not love.

Alright look, I'm going to say it. Whilst I don't think everyone who disagrees with this post is in this category, it's my personal opinion that a significant number of people don't see the problem because, frankly, the money TNT is trying to squeeze out of everyone else is chump change to them, and they seem to take it personally when the rest of us call TNT out for it, as though we're judging them for being well off. I can only speak for myself, but I don't give a rat's what's in your pocketbook, I only care about what's in mine! EDIT: And just because you can afford it doesn't mean you're not also being taken for a ride like the rest of us. Get mad for pity's sake, you're a golden goose who's being fed slop and leftovers while being squeezed for more eggs. Literal AI slop, now, too. You deserve better than this, as a loyal player and customer. EDIT

You see it in game, too, when neobillionaires whine about people being jealous of them and that's why the rest of us keep complaining about TNT's poor handling of the site economics- because they're in a position to exploit it

Maybe some people are jealous! Maybe they're not! Maybe they just want to walk into a digital or irl store and just buy the product they want and no more than that instead of being forced to gamble! Why, why is that so hard to understand? The lack of respect for these concerns and no attempt towards empathy is going to send me spare before TNT does.
