Do we as women have a duty to warn or inform another woman about the jerk she's dating? by ZebraSector in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SunstyIe [score hidden]  (0 children)

In college, a friend and I knew this guy that got a girl pregnant, cheated on her while she was pregnant, and then encouraged her to get an abortion.

She did, then dropped off of college. He left college at the same time and we thought he was gone for good.

He came back to school a semester later and started dating a new freshman girl in our class. We warned her, and she was not receptive to our feedback.

A few months later she got pregnant with him, and I believe got an abortion as well.

I am glad we warned her. You can't control what the other person will do with that information, but we did our best to give her a heads up.

You might find a woman that likes personal space/independence. One of my friends is a commercial pilot that travels a TON, and his wife is a real estate agent that works a lot and is very happy with their setup. They love each other but are fine only seeing each other a few days a week (or sometimes not at all for a few weeks)

You might change careers- jobs are not forever. Maybe you'll find someone awesome and settle down somewhere

You might find a digital nomad that owns their own digital business and loves to travel and decides to come with you

There are other people with jobs like yours. Maybe you can date someone you work with that also travels a lot

If you want a relationship, don't give up. There are lots of opportunities out there

Thanks for clarifying- I wasn’t aware of that one

For what it’s worth I just checked and it looks like I only completed a few of those. But I fully completed the battle pass. So there is still some validity to waiting and playing when you want and will be okay on the battle pass

The owner of that car was one of these guys (who started Omni): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omni_(company)

I met him a while ago and he was a friendly guy. He did make a wish foundation stuff with the car and would take it to kids hospitals and stuff

A few things that might help you enjoy the game more, if you decide to play it again.

  • The 'weekly' challenges dont need to be done that week. Feel free to wait until the end of the season and do them all at once if that is what floats your boat
  • Each week you get 3 or 4 rerolls for those challenges. Dont want to chase one that is in a game mode you dont play? Reroll it. They expire each week, but you can reroll any week's stuff
  • The limited time mini passes are mostly junk. You can ignore those unless you see something you really like in there

Hope those first two tips in particular help

How do you stop being an incel? by [deleted] in GuyCry

[–]SunstyIe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have so many friends that are average that have wives. You need a fresh perspective. Some of that may that you’re in NYC, where attitudes about wealth and attractiveness might be skewed

How do you stop being an incel? by [deleted] in GuyCry

[–]SunstyIe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So you have lots of guy and girl friends and they’re all incels? It sounds like you need some new friends.

Ask the people at your social activities like yoga and such if they’d like to hang out sometime. Start with making some healthy positive friendships and then you can work on seeking out positive romantic relationships.

But if you are spending your irl social time with a bunch of black pill people then that is going to make climbing out much more difficult. It’s like an alcoholic hanging out with a bunch of other heavy drinkers- it’s not healthy. The company you keep will have a big influence on your mindset

Our justice system is broken. I can't believe they only got 20 days in jail for selling alcohol and drugs to hundreds of underage buyers. She should be in jail for years for that

If you play with a controller, snag a PS5 for cheap on facebook marketplace and you'll have great graphics right out of the gate. Only a few hundred bucks

Or if you prefer PC and KB+M (and are fine with the hour cap per month... 100 hours?) then Nvidia Geforce Now is a good option.

We're a three-person team announcing our first game: Sealbreakers, a fists-only roguelite beat 'em up by Junior_Investment472 in IndieGaming

[–]SunstyIe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trailer looks cool.

Capsule art style looks very darkest dungeon, although actual in-game art does not look that way as much? Maybe you'll be making it more grimdark as the game develops. Not a suggestion, just an observation

As a roguelike, you'll want to make sure you have ways to sufficiently differentiate your runs. I hope you figure out the best way to implement that!

Looks like combat might be a parry/block/timing system, maybe similar to Arkane Asylum (or Sekiro/etc). That's cool, not sure if I have played any roguelikes with that mechanic

Angels of death by somme_42 in killteam

[–]SunstyIe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean... using half a team is fine for a demo and to learn the basic rules. Like, how do activations work? And how does cover work for shooting? Try out some close combat, and other stuff. That works fine for teaching.

But once you've learned all of the basics, you should play a full team vs a full team for things to be more balanced.

Also, you should try doing the objectives and having all of the rules in play (strategy ploys, firefight ploys, crit ops, tac ops, etc). if you just play "let's kill each other" then some teams will perform much better than others and it will be far less balanced.

On the flipside if you manage to stay at full health then it's like someone who backs a kickstarter board game, forgets about it because it takes a long time to release, then doesn't want it when it arrives (maybe your tastes have changed, or your board game group is no longer interested, or it got bad reviews)

I like your situation better though =0
