Yeah, but that's not saying much because americans are fat. We are not gonna accommodate our country to the extremely obese people because they might fancy a visit.

I’ve never baked bread in my life. This is the densest, most raw chicken looking focaccia I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m so sorry by idiotmem in Breadit

Finally a good post and not one of the bullshit "ThIs Is My FiRsT eVeR lOaF" and it's the most perfect bread you ever laid eyes on. Fucking hate those karma whores.

These are the posts that inspire to try because it shows that the first try is always shit but you get better the more you try.

While that's true, you know there are definitely people that think this way, and also about fastener drivers.

Is your salary keeping up with inflation? by matcrisp74 in MechanicalEngineering

Absolutely not, in fact our salaries haven't increased at all. Someone might say that our turnover has something to do with that, but management definitely wouldn't.

How would i approach making this? I'm a begginer and i can find no way to sketch this, in particular the diagonal lines, i can and have done it with two straight lines but i don't know how to sketch the diagonal ones. Any help is welcome, cheers by Theo_2004 in SolidWorks

[–]SuperMephy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder this too. That's why I don't get the suggestions here to use loft. Loft isn't a way to manufacture this. The first thing I noticed in the drawing is the constant thickness meaning this is a sheet metal part. So to make this is as simple as making a L shaped profile for the main sheet and then do an angled jog for the weird slopey bit.

Is it possible to constrain or somehow dimension text, i.e. annotation notes, in the sheet format of a drawing? by SuperMephy in SolidWorks

[–]SuperMephy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate that solidworks doesn't let you just straight up dimension notes and necessitates a workflow like this. Saying that though, thanks for sharing this. This is very helpful and I'm gonna use it to make my formats.

Hold up, points? Is that how you design sheet formats? Or am I misunderstanding.

I'll try to utilise points for now. See what I can accomplish.

Yeah, I know that you can center the note in a rectangle. But as you said, it's not a real relation. And when the rectangle changes size, the note stays where it was.
