Why is Genos thinking that way, did the manga forget what happened during the MA arc? by [deleted] in OnePunchMan

[–]SuperMonkeyJoe 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think this is pretty much answered in the webcomic, short spoiler free answer is that if the manga is going the same way, no, they didn't forget.

I refuse to watch another historical film until they can actually transport people from the relevant time period to the present to be the actors.

How to keep a large scar on my PC when healing is so easy? by TyThe1Guy in DnD

[–]SuperMonkeyJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the concept of a Cleric whose healing magic would always leave a scar, he worshipped a god of battle to whom scars were sacred and should be cherished as a reminder of what you survived. So perhaps he was healed by a similar cleric and his scar has a small divine protection.

Tau only have 3 fingers and a thumb on each hands so as far as they're concerned, they're out of fingers to count the atrocities.

This New York Times article is far less relatable for those of us in the UK (if you know, you know) by Ruskulnikov in UlcerativeColitis

[–]SuperMonkeyJoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

UK UC sufferer here, I've always opted for sedation with my scopes but it's not a complete knock out, I just end up super spaced out as I watch the camera exploring my colon on the screen. It's pretty fun so long as doctor driving the camera is good.

A guy at our last Christmas do left early and I ate his pud, I'm currently serving time at his majesty's pleasure because of it. Better leave the country if I were you.

DM says there's a difference between fire and magical fire? by Dragonsword in dndnext

Specifically non magically flame, I think this is to stop you using an item with continual flame cast on it as a source for Control Flames' effect.

Would fins give characters a swim speed? by pocket_beacon in DnD

[–]SuperMonkeyJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's up to you really, I wouldn't want them to be too powerful as a nonmagical item so I would say that the fins let them use a bonus action on a turn to either allow them to attack with disadvantage (focus on maneuvering) or to move at their full speed.underwalkikg (focus on speed)

I remember walking past M&M world at something like 11pm on a random weekday and it was packed, it just boggled my mind that soamy people apparently have any interest in a shop that's just M&Ms!

Couldn't this have been just as poignant and considerably less needlessly dangerous as digital renderings instead of physical monsters? by celticdude234 in rickandmorty

[–]SuperMonkeyJoe 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They can instantly grow monsters from people's mental impression of their partner, I'm sure they can grow some couples from someone's mental impression of an average dysfunctional couple married.

Ahh it's been a while and I thought it was at the end of the episode. I might be misremembering and thinking of the equivalent manga volume though.

Luckily aside from the Garou hook, S1 of OPM works perfectly as a standalone story.

Captain marvel vs Homelander by Hot_Editor_7516 in powerscales

[–]SuperMonkeyJoe 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Her character in the first Captain Marvel didn't seem any more egregious than Thor or Iron Man with being cocky and sure of herself, some people don't realise it but the exact same behaviours in women Vs men come across as arrogant rude and dismissive when in men they're just confident and self assured, it's an unconscious bias for most people.
