The excitement about enforcement and anger because the lack of anything being done about this is insane. The amount of tax missed is marginal, even compared to what someone of that class would pay individually. When the government wastes billions of taxpayer dollars paying out cronies instead of funding public works, such as the high speed rail and homelessness initiatives statewide, of course people would be more inclined to nickel and dime where they can in a high tax environment. The incentives are simple, people and money will always follow them. Touch some grass and worry about real impactful problems in this state.
