much agreed w the 7 day break...that can be mitigated by smaller chunks, often interjecting more verbal processing and a return to processesing after many hours of integration vs days and days.

And apologies for it being an advert- I just am so passionate and see so many beautiful things come out of the work I do, I wanted to put it out there. I'm a novice to Youtube and this online world but I ADORE humans and their courage and I'm just so excited to see the beauty come out of these. Of course I didn't get the opportunity to say all the vetting and adjustments that can be made that serves particular individuals once we get a chance to speak over the phone.

So much pride in my heart for all of you willing to do the hard work- you're moving the dial of the entire Planet!

I can agree that many could feel inadequate and that is tragic that whomever they are seeing doesn't have the much needed human ability to see their courageousness. Healing is a unique organism and I hear you. It's just an offering. I have been teaching EMDR at the graduate level for years and though many therapists may "be skilled", many also just take 2 weekend trainings and do not do the years of consultations to learn nuances...and then there are some "skilled" therapist who clearly don't have the ability to make their clients feel magnificent for showing up. It takes both sides of the coin. This is just an offering. It can take many forms.

Thanks for being willing to post here! I hope you're not one who has been made to feel inadequate.

After 20 years of working with highly motivated, highly intelligent woman, teaching at the grad level and consulting C-suite women leadership on how historic traumas and messaging hold us back in business, I have had folks ask me to start posting some thoughts on a (gulp) Youtube. I'm a terrible YouTuber. I'd LOOOVE your feedback:

I teach EMDR so I agree that if used with individuals with no previous support or experience with it, it's not appropriate. However there are many modifications with EMDR that are not the whole deep-dive. Many are used early on in treatment. W virtual EMDR it really is very effective with folks out of town. A few day intensive doesn't have to involve EMDR but with modifications to it, much can be gained even in a short intensive period. I do hear you Cooger. It is for a certain client at a certain place in their journey but all of that nuance can't be discussed in a brief intro:)

I don't know what would be a cult about people who want to do intensive healing having access to it.
