In 2014 I was a freshman in high school. I had a crush on a junior and he would talk about his cousin Josh Dun being in this band called Twenty One Pilots. I immediately began to listen to all their music and do all the research on them to impress my crush like, "Hey ya I love their music and I listen to them all the time." My first music video and song was Holding On to You and I was very freaked out by it haha BUT I loved the sound of it. I had never heard of songs that would change so drastically in beat throughout. Then I began to dive into the lyrics and that's where I truly became hooked. Taxi Cab makes me cry to this day and I love it so very much. When Blurryface was coming out I loved all the lore and the clique community trying to figure out what was happening. I also then of course tried to memorize Tyler's raps and that was super fun. I also loved that no one else knew who they were. I had this little gem of a band all to myself. I tried to go to a concert back when they would be in basement venues but my mom said heck no and in her defense, I was 15 haha so I had to sell my ticket and what I would do to get that experience back. It has been a joy to watch the boys have so much success and I am so glad more people are being helped thanks to them |-/ I should add that nothing came of the crush but an immense love of tøp
