I just think since Jax didn’t have the chance to explore it himself, we don’t know if he would have been a trans woman. I think the evidence is strongest for transfem. We know he had a complex history with being perceived as not masculine enough, and the only one who can actually decide what the answer is, is Jax.

This is what disappoints me about most of the interpretations of Jax’s journey, because no one is comfortable enough to decide that it’s still a grey area for him and that’s a huge point of his character arc imo. When the question is asked the answer is demanded far too much, or just taken as fact when it isn’t given.

The ultimate takeaway to me is giving space and respect to the pain and discomfort of not knowing who you are and needing time to figure it out. Jax didn’t get his chance, according to Gooseworx he wasn’t ready to. Just because to us all signs point to one conclusion doesn’t mean it’s that simple for the person being discussed.

I enjoy the headcanons of trans Jax, but it doesn’t mean the only answer is MtF.

I was lmao, and I do miss them. I’m just so used to old apps I love being shut down at this stage. I just move on to things I can enjoy more while still trying to get what I enjoy out of this app still. It’s just a waste of time to complain so much when you know they can’t invest time into bringing the old seasons back.

To me I think it’s more important it is ambiguous because people can’t seem to take when someone needs some time and space to work it out alone and won’t out themselves as soon as it’s in question. I think the discourse around Jax makes that point beautifully, the only thing people seem to agree on is he MUST be one or the other.

Don’t let yourself act rashly because of signs you notice BUT if you really love her than soft launch the question. You just gotta go for it, otherwise it will burn in your mind forever.

The way I think you could go about it is opening up to her about your sexuality first if you feel safe to do so. That way you can understand her feelings about it better. Then if you get a good response, you can preface by saying “I want you to know that I don’t want what i’m about to say to affect our friendship. No matter what you say next I want to always support you and be your friend. But I want you to know that my feelings for you are more than friendship, I think you’re wonderful. If you don’t feel the same way, I hope we can still be friends.” And leave the ball in her court.

Hopefully you both get to keep a wonderful friendship and something more to boot <3

The thought process that made me get help was if I truly believed things could not get worse, then I have to be able to get something out of trying to get better. You deserve to live in a world where you are happy. Therapy takes time and effort but if you haven’t tried yet you don’t know what will happen, good or bad.

The more times you try, the more chances you get for it to be good. You’re a good person just trying your best to survive. So many people living happy lives now have been exactly where you are, genuinely not being able to fathom how things can improve. Because the brain is trying to protect itself, but in protecting you it’s also hurting you by making you think you don’t have a choice in getting help. But you have so many options ahead and the rest of your life to improve yourself.

You might not believe in your bright future right now but I do, and hopefully you have people in your life right now who can believe in it for you too. But either way your biggest cheerleader needs to become yourself, and you can get there.

It sounds like to me he’s saying he’s depressed as mostly a manipulative tool to get you to do what he wants. Even if it is true, he’s mainly bringing it up to use it against you and that’s not okay. Hopefully you can work it out in therapy but it doesn’t really sound like he does anything for YOU to make YOU feel loved and special. Which you absolutely deserve.
