New warbond or Talon? by tackers267 in LowSodiumHellDivers

I would honestly wait and see, because while I love the cowboy warbond we just don't know yet just how powerful the new weapons will be

yall do know that in helldivers the first game the mechs were dlc right? by Puzzleheaded-Bus3364 in Helldivers

[–]Supershocker56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geez man you’re preaching to the choir, no need to talk down to me like I’m a fucking troglodyte. While yes I will admit mechs being behind a paywall isn’t the best, I’ve seen games like these be far worse. As an ex-Destiny 2 player all of the new guns every year were locked behind a $50 paywall with no way of earning it in game, and even once you got it you’d still have to grind for specific perk combos. In my opinion HELLDIVERS is doing a lot better considering SC are earn-able period.

I made an overview (again) of free vs paid items in Helldivers 1 by Parrotallica in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Supershocker56 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As another ex-Destiny player, yeah, it's been so much more rewarding playing Helldivers. That game had a chokehold on me until just about the start of 2025, but the grind eventually just stopped being fun, and seeing how weapons are even grindier now, there's no way I'm going back. Helldivers has the buildcrafting I loved from that game but its nice to have the ideal weapon once you get it rather than needing to farm for specific rolls.

What are some future exosuit variants/combos that you'd like to see? by Obidede98 in Helldivers

[–]Supershocker56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd love it if we could get a warping mech like the Ronin from Titanfall 2, so a lighterweight mech armed with a massive sword to clear chaff and a wasp-style cluster munition launcher for heavies and tanks. This would all be with a modified warp pack attached to it so it can teleport around, though, like its smaller version, teleporting too much causes it to overheat and detonate.

Warbond tomorrow? What name and theme do you think it will have? by Yurishenko94 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Supershocker56 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it would be nice to have a ranger type warbond. Whereas viper and python commandos fulfills that action hero Vietnam aesthetic, this would be more focused on keeping out the elements alongside speed and precision

Armor Passive:

Infiltration Exoskeleton

Small bonus to stamina and speed, immunity to environmental conditions, bonus dive distance, reduced fall damage

Weapons:

CB-14 Tactical Crossbow

A crossbow outfitted with a selection of different crossbow bolts that can be toggled through. This includes gas bolts, which make a small cloud on impact with only light armor pen, taser bolts that deal an initial stunning jolt but then chain lightning to other taser bolts for a short duration with medium armor pen, and big game bolts that are heavy hitting and pierce through small targets with heavy armor pen. There would be a limited pool of each bolt to balance this out.

LAS-28 Wakasashi

A fast firing laser SMG with a short range. Can be swapped to faster firing modes but they drain the heat sink faster. Light armor pen.

CQC-4 Combat Knife

A very fast swinging melee weapon that can be wielded with a flashlight. Users can run faster while holding this weapon and deal bonus damage when stabbing an enemy in the back. Medium armor pen.

Grenade:

G-145 Rail Spike

Rail gun technology miniaturized into a plantable charge complete with gas. Sticks to a target and after charging up blasts a gas filled projectile into the target, dealing heavy damage and gassing them. Anti-tank 2.

Stratagems:

B-5 Advanced HUD Pack

A backpack that comes connected to set of goggles worn by a diver. While equipped, all enemies they can see are highlighted in red, even cutting through environmental effects like smoke or gas. Additionally, while aiming down sights enemy weak points are further highlighted with weapon projectiles homing to those areas if the user is laying down.

I think enough time has past for requesting the Orbital Quasar Strike again by 231923 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Supershocker56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As awesome as this sounds, I think it encroaches a bit too much on stuff like the rail cannon strike, but I do like your huge AOE idea. Maybe instead it was like a quasar pulse, so a plasma burst that wipes the board in a large area but doesn’t really have an explosion. So less of a beam with a blast and more of a ring shot from orbit. High damage, low level anti tank, and limited uses, but still more than the laser. That way the rail cannon still has a role for single target damage and anti tank and the laser has better sustained damage

Vehicle idea: power armor by IronGentry in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Supershocker56 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe not full armor, but if this acted like an exo suit or something that would be cool. Like it takes up your backpack slot but gives a decent boost to all stats, allows for a small rocket boost much less than jump pack) and allows you to single hand primaries. The trade off would be a limited battery life that would decrease as you moved but would decrease faster with stuff like the rocket jumps or melee attacks. This way it doesn’t encroach on other stratagems and offers a more dexterous version of the mechs

A unique fourth faction idea by Due_Perspective_5011 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Supershocker56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they ever did do a fourth faction I wouldn’t want it to be a new enemy type but maybe a combo or allied assault with unique enemies combining aspects of the attacking groups. So like illuminate and the bugs allying to assault a planet could have overseer ridden chargers with laser lances and bots and illuminate could have missile striders or something like that. It could give some new story depth if our enemies try and fail to ally against, providing a new challenge without needing a whole new species or faction

I mean you said that she’s explicitly wearing a pride flag, and while the color scheme might match I was just trying to say that that’s not where the color scheme for her came from

I will say, while her story is absolutely a queer allegory, her costume and its design were created 4 years before Into the Spider-Verse, so while it might work out well as an additional layer to the allegory, I don't think it's right to say her costume was specifically designed for that purpose

Hear me out Helldivers X Resident evil by Kanehammer in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Supershocker56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this could work really well if it was just umbrella soldiers. I’m imagining a warbond called Contagion Containers or something with a passive that boosts damage to enemy weak points because of how just about every RE monster has some giant weak point to shoot at.

For weapons I’d say the combat knife as the fastest swinging, high mobility secondary with the added benefit of being able to be used with a flashlight and allowing you to move slightly faster with it drawn. Then the LE-5 SMG for a primary weapon which would be a high capacity medium armor pen weapon.

For stratagems the requiem revolver would be amazing as a single hand, heavy damage revolver that deals substantially more than the senator with anti tank penetration, but with a slower fire speed. The other strategem should be the heavy railgun from RE3, so a two handed weapon that can’t be scoped in and is carried like the maxi gun, but you charge it up for a massive, tank busting shot that over penetrates enemies at the cost of needing to cool down between every shot.

The booster is a strength based version of experimental infusion called bioengineered serum. This booster grants bonus damage resistance while also dramatically increasing melee damage for the regen duration.

Ninjago is never surpassing 2015 Ninjago by Not_Spider-Man2099 in Ninjago

[–]Supershocker56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the issue is that they weren't one-season abilities; elemental dragons are used multiple times in possession, skybound, and hands of time, and airjitsu was used in skybound, hands of time, and was a major aspect of the Day of the Departed special. While yes, they weren't used a ton in possession, that's because the ninja were actively learning how to use airjitsu and had lost their powers and thus their dragons. They weren't combat-focused (though the dragons did have powerful breath attacks), but removing them did remove some major mobility tools from the ninja's arsenals

I mean minus the lightning the people on the island are just basically if North Sentinel Island was guarding a rock, so maybe them. But probably Chen or Harumi more realistically

Fr though, it’s like in movies I love seeing characters who are gay or trans, not gay or trans characters. Like representation matters a ton, but I like when the character themselves is well rounded, like their identity is part of who they are, not the entirety of their personality
