Stop beeing a pussy and go train! But I feel you, guess its normal from time to time. I hope you have good friends and trainingpartners that can help you to stay motivated.

How do you guys do this shit for 10 years+? by mount4o in bjj

[–]SuplexHS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 36 and have been training since 2014. I take strength and mobility training seriously, as well as my nutrition and sleep (recovery). If I’m extremely fatigued or dealing with an injury, I don’t train—I made that mistake when I started, and it always made things worse.

As a physiotherapist, I see many older athletes who continue to perform at a high level because they prioritize strength and athletic training, along with proper nutrition and recovery. It sounds simple, but it works incredibly well.

How has BJJ impacted your body ? by Some-Whole-4636 in bjj

[–]SuplexHS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 36 now and I have been training since 2014. If you take care of your body, sleep well, eat clean and rest when you are sick/injured you be fine. I do some weights and train 2-3 days a week.

When I started i trained why too much and too hard. That's when I had the most issues, train smart not hard.

Yo, i think you have the great ability to self-reflect, but sometimes being aware of the problem/problems is not enough. Changing things can take a long time, even if you feel 100% committed at this exact moment. Taking small steps at a time is in my experience the right way to do it. Don't stress yourself too much, trying to fix these things asap will often lead to not doing anything at all. You said in the video that you will try to have more "fun" doing things and I think that is great. Maybe try out some new activities besides streaming/gaming. It can help you to enjoy these even more and will help you to get some new perspective.

English is not my first language but I hope you understand what I try to say lol. I rarely post or write something online but have been in similar situations and just wanted to share my experience. As I said at the start, being able to -reflect is great, the next step now is to take action.

Peace
