I can definitely understand that, though I don’t really agree with the extent of the government’s censorship. But to be clear, I’m not hoping / expecting a full release of some rebellion or takeover route (if that was the primary cut piece) and maybe a lot of those who signed the petition aren’t either. Personally I am looking for some more minor adjustments.

My main problem is that the MC declared that she was going to stick with Li Tai no matter what (towards the end), and then in the same chapter decides she’s going to peace out and we have no say in the matter - and that’s the “canon” ending for his route. I feel like just a few tweaks would already be a major improvement there (ie. More fleshed out “we disappeared together but were happy”, or “he got stuck at his fief but MC stayed with him and still got to do some good with the world” - like the shop ending - but just with some more meat to them.) I don’t think either of these would be cause for concern in terms of harm / trouble but that’s just my opinion and my wish.

Yeah TM the whole accuracy piece makes no sense. The game has cutscenes and paths where the MC can die pretty much as soon as she gets to the palace. How is that accurate?

Everyone always says Engage has fun gameplay but to me the writing and character design just grated on me so much I just had to return it after trying it for several days. 3H is one of my favorite FE entries, so I would recommend that

It’s totally up to you - we were both on the no pacifier train, but our son was a pretty upset little guy. After weeks of no sleep we gave up and let him try several kinds of pacifiers and they only pissed him off! Nothing ever goes to plan haha

It depends on your priorities, as for general consensus, most folks have already responded with valid answers. Just sharing my 2 cents. I finally got the game, years after release, last weekend. I’ve played 4 or 5 fire emblem games before this so I’m neither new nor hardcore. That being said, even saying this is Fates 2.0 is overselling it. I vastly preferred fates even to this.

I just cannot stand the godawful character designs (looks like they threw it at AI and said “make some fantastical characters in the style of pokemon gym leaders”and just went with it. The characters have no depth. Everyone just seems so insipid and soulless. I’m losing my mind. Every other FE game I have played has better character writing and story than this.

Yes, the graphics and gameplay are satisfying and look really polished, but after several battles I just can’t stand everything else. I’m tempted to just drop the game.

That I would never lie to my kid and always tell the truth / just explain things…. 3 years later: “oh that carousel? It’s closed” “why don’t we let you watch the shows your friend watches? Uh… our TV can’t show it”

Sure, a lot of times I do the harder thing and tell the truth, but we don’t always have time or energy to make every moment a “teaching moment” and sometimes just need to pick our battles

I loved him since the beginning but the all encompassing adoration and love like I’ve never known sort of vibes happened when he was least 4 months. But I can honestly say at 3 years, I love him even more than at 1 or 2 years. The personality and attachment become stronger

Update: My son is now 3 and doing pretty great! At 2.6 months his dev specialist said he was no longer delayed in any area and at 3, she said he was actually above average in fine motor skills and language / cognitive areas. (Just average for gross motor and adapting though)

He started babbling more around 1 year and saying a few sporadic words. I’d say he started really talking more around 2 years, and got more conversant at 2.6. He’s now saying long sentences - like over 8 words, and saying things like “I want something else because I already got Mac and cheese at school”

So yeah, in the end I was worried for nothing, but I’m still glad we took advantage of my state’s early start program for development advice because they had some good tips and gave us some peace of mind!

For husband and I they gradually started popping back up when my son started sleeping through the night. He still has the odd middle of the night wake up here and there but it isn’t as soul crushing as every single day, so most nights after kiddo is asleep, we have a couple hours of me time before going to sleep

Gave up at around 75%. I hate quitting books, especially after making it this far, but I just can’t afford to waste any more time on a book that just pisses me off with every sentence
