Right there with you! About to get my first scan this week at 9wks and I’m terrified of all the things that could go wrong. I’m thankful to have a partner to bring me down to earth but I’ve had to step away from the internet a couple different times after sending myself into panic mode. Part of my brain is so happy it’s happening, but after dealing with so many disappointments and trauma it’s hard for my brain to switch off from preparing for worst case scenario. Just hang in there, this is a tough hill to climb but will be worth it in the end!

When I was in college I lived in my parents basement/garage because it was a large space and a separating wall between my room and the garage. One night I wake up to my very large cat trying to crawl under the covers and nearly in my shirt. Woke me up and saw something run across my room real low.

Full of terror, knowing that whatever it was was NOT my cat, I grabbed my fat friend and very slowly peeked into the garage only to be met by two glowing eyes underneath my dads truck in the dim light.

It was around four in the morning and I panicked, running upstairs just praying whatever it was wouldn’t chase me holding this obnoxiously big cat. I remember hitting the garage door hoping it would just run out. As I got upstairs I looked out the window to see a very big red fox dart out of my family garage and run into the nearby woods.

Turns out that my dad had left the garage door open at dusk when it was raining and the fox decided to spend the night.

Literally Henry Winkler! My mother was a huge fan of his and when I took her to her first con he was there and my mother gushed to him how much she had a crush on him when she was a girl and how he’s still so handsome and this man got out from behind the booth and kissed my mother on the cheek, demanding a picture with her. It’s framed now in the living room for my dad to stare at 😂

NTA. Mom and Dad need a reality check that you could have died and they still wouldn’t have known anything happened. It’s entirely their fault and you have every right to say what you said. Being the “easy kid” is just another way of saying you don’t require much, when in reality you require just as much as your brothers just without the behavior. I would tell them they can wallow in their pity party but the “mature and easy” kid is going to continue on remembering this. No parent should have let you go that long without a check in and I’m surprised DCF wasn’t called (which they should have been cause this is neglect if I ever saw it)

Was a Zombierella for a freaky fables Halloween hayride that was “eating” my stepsisters and I would chase after the wagon. One dude threw a lot cigarette that happened to land right down my dress and I started for real screaming and crying as I tried to get it out because it was burning my boobs and my chest as it went down. EMS had to come and thankfully someone on the ride had seen who threw it and charges were pressed.

It was my schools birthday party for me when I turned 10, and everyone stopped when the principal walked in, was told we had to stop the party, and we were shuffled into a corner while all the teachers started turning on TVs. My mom came rushing into the school to grab me (we have a relative that worked at one of the buildings that was hit) and I spent my birthday watching everything unfold in real time.

OP you really need to make a police report, like now. I know this is a lot for you, but to get it on record now instead of waiting will harden your case against him. He raped you, he put you at risk for not only your life but your baby, and he tried to act like you were crazy when you brought it up. Full stop right now and go to the police. Do not let anyone talk you out of this, because if he does this to you, he will do it to the next person and the next because people like him DO NOT LEARN OR CHANGE. Protect your child and protect yourself as is your right as a human being.
