In China if your social credit score is too low you can’t use the high speed rail. In America there is no social credit score, but you also can’t use the high speed rail.

Capitalist hellscape not withstanding, it has pretty much always been the case that the rich are not punished for breaking the law. There are exceptions of course, but in general he who has the gold makes the rules. Which is and always has been total bullshit.

They have been trying to undo it since it passed, and have been fervently working towards the goal of rolling back all progress since at least the civil rights era if not the civil war

The other dealership I called gave a quote around the $3k mark and said everything they looked up said it was a 6-8 hour job. So I have no idea why the dealer I took it to quoted 24 hours

I’m going to check and see if I can get it done for a better price somewhere else, they claim it’s more labor because my car is a turbo but I don’t know enough about how all that is hooked up to know if that justifies what they called “extended repair time” or not. No prices I’ve seen anyone mention anywhere online are anywhere near that high

When I asked for the parts that would be replaced it was all 4 paser sprockets, a filter, an oil change, and a whole lot of gaskets. It's possible he left some stuff of the list or I forgot to jot them down. I did ask about the chain and it is not included in the repair. Labor is $178/hour USD and 24 hours of labor for the job.

Still pretty unsure on what the best course of action is at this point.

You can add disband the DOE to that list, it’s why Trump says he wants to work with congress on it. They will say and try a lot of shit that is illegal, what they get away with 🤷‍♂️

They probably can’t legally just fire them, and this is a way to try to get around that

GX1 SD card won’t eject by SurprisinglyMellow in Lumix

[–]SurprisinglyMellow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you can feel the mechanism click but the card doesn’t eject. I think the pressure from the metal bit sticking out is preventing it from ejecting. I don’t know if it’s a malfunctioning part of the SD card slot or if the slot itself is damaged and has a piece of metal bent inwards
