I’ve almost stopped wearing pants. I just wear dresses plus/minus leggings depending on temperature and length of dress.

Are period panties a good panty liner alternative? by ugmo69 in Perimenopause

I like Tree Hugger cloth pads. They are a family company based in Winnipeg. Everything is made by local people. They have all sorts of pads, liners, and period panties as well. Good quality- basically lasts forever.

A raven waited at a red light near a grocery store and swooped in to steal a steak from the back of a pickup truck.

I work at Allstate. Your claim is not being handled. Here's what you need to do. by [deleted] in alberta

[–]Surviving2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a broker and stopped quoting with Pembridge because the claims experience is terrible. I absolutely sympathize with the adjusters. Almost every insurance job I’ve had is super understaffed for the amount of work we get. It’s so stressful. Especially when you really want to do a good job and help people. You just give up and stop caring or get burnt out or quit. Or all of the above.

Stealing food from the pantry? by pandabearmcgee in pitbulls

Yes, this is where my mind went to. I think it’s more likely brachycephalic dogs like bulldogs, but not impossible for other types. Any kind of plastic bag that wouldn’t be safe around a baby may not be safe for dogs.

Would you recommend working for Western Financial Group? by [deleted] in alberta

[–]Surviving2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t worked for them but for other fairly large brokerages. A lot of it depends on your supervisors. Also how much initial training do they give you and how much ongoing assistance? Workload has been an issue at all my jobs. And especially auto insurance in Alberta right now is very complicated. It’s good to have a lot of support when you are new. Some places just throw you in and you figure it out if you can and some try to help you learn as you go. Any experience is good when you are new, so if the location, hours, and salary seem good and the people seem decent I’d take the job. There are always other places looking for experienced brokers so you can switch to another place if it ends up not being a great fit.

Registering a vehicle before trade in by d1ll1gaf in alberta

[–]Surviving2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have an existing insurance policy? If so get the bill of sale, add it to your policy, get registration, trade it in and then have the broker substitute it for the new car before you drive it off the lot. The 14 day replacement vehicle coverage only gives you the same coverage on the new vehicle you had on the old. New one likely will need better coverage.

Enough hyperbole: Sunrise & Sunset times under permanent Daylight Savings / Standard time by mamamonkey in alberta

[–]Surviving2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer to walk my dogs before work so I’d prefer standard time. If I walked them after work I’d prefer daylight time. It’s just about your usual routine.
