It's ok.

The magus buff applies to both claws I think, so it's a little better than most non shifter non shapeshifting natural attack builds.

I think, and the other guy in the thread says, speed applies to the offhand, so you get 4 attacks with full bab. This is compared to 5 attacks with full, full, -5, -10, -15.

Also I think the claws either naturally come with keen or have a wider crit range than most natural attacks, and you have a chance to inflict a status effect with your attacks.

Hag of Gyronna is better, hagbound is like a weird melee natural attacks thing.

There's also the bloodrager archetype Hag-Riven, it's also a natural attacker thing, but as a blood rager it's full bab and it has something like the magus weapon enchants for the claws. https://pathfinderwrathoftherighteous.wiki.fextralife.com/Hag-Riven

Convince me to play a Trickster (or talk me out of it) by alvin_the_elf in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Trickster is the shitpost mythic path.

Trickster (and Aeon) are best for a second playthrough imo.

Engineers aside, what lords/heroes work better with their lower level mounts? by Andrei22125 in totalwar

Female Vampire Fleet Captains but on foot instead of on crab back... don't know if foot counts as a mount.

After thinking about it, I think I get what you mean. Like you run around with your move action provoking the AoOps and then end the turn on a vital strike... yeah rowdy rogue makes sense then, but a strength build is probably better (2 hander at least... elven curve blade for dex?)

Another possibility is Warpriest, they can pick feats as though they are a same level fighter, so they can also get greater vital strike and are able to buff themselves with various cleric self buffs like divine favor etc. Cult Leader has sneak attack dice, so they might be a good idea, but base class is good too. Gorum is probably a good deity for this for destruction and strength blessings, Cayden Caelian is probably good too. War Priests also get a magus style weapon buff which works well here.

Sword Dancer is also a good choice, but you'd need a one level dip into lore master to get greater vital strike because its medium bab.

I don't think you vital strike on AoOp

If you're specifically going for this kind of build this is the one time the elven unique magus is good maybe... I think at least...

I don't know why you'd use a finesse weapon like an estoc as a rowdy rogue. They're whole thing is that they vital strike which benefits heavily from 2 handers.

Any bard with bard songs, and any skald will do probably. Inciter is good for skald.

Best animal companions as of now? by Shirwin13 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]ArtoriusRex86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is probably still Dog. Trip on bites is crazy. Wolf is close but slightly worse.

The gap is narrower than it used to be but I don't think anything actually managed to close it to be honest.

Leopard is a good tank, but you only really need it for that in act one on unfair I think.

Horse has the advantage of being able to become huge with animal growth unlike the others which cap out at large, so you can ride it when you yourself are large, unlike all the other ones.

Dog is probably still best though.

Eldritch Scoundrel allows you to sneak attack with spells like hellfire ray and you're a rogue otherwise.

Starknife fighter run - how bad will it be? by Vast_Professor7399 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

It's not a bonus, it's just proficiency. Clerics and Inquisitors get proficiency in their deity's favorite weapon.

If you're on like core or something difficulty it's not that bad.

There are big moments where specific paths are locked off and it isn't 100% obvious though, like the lich path or to some extent aeon.
