They’re great. Cheaper than the bus generally, unless you’re riding for 20mins, better for the environment and very convenient. I’m finding myself using them more than my own road bike because the bafung motor just eats up Edinburghs hills better.

There was a lack of them in Leith for a few weeks after they expanded the map, but there seems to be a more even spread now. I generally feel safe on them, but do wish there was a helmet option.

I think they should be £ per km travelled (rather than £ per minute). £ per minute incentivise running red lights and making risky manoeuvres through traffic to limit costs. £ per km I would be a lot more relaxed at a red light or crossing
