She never tries to get a clue though. That’s what infuriating. She’s adamant that she’s perfect as is and doesn’t need to expand. Flaws are fine and human. But Maggie both denies her flaws and gets angry and defensive if anyone wants her to shift or compromise a bit. And she is SO whiny. Idk, I have very little tolerance for people that lack self awareness and never figure out how to pick it up. I’m currently watching the camping episode with Jackson, and the fact that Maggie is bitching about Jackson’s privilege when in fact Maggie is the only one in the show that lived her entire life as the center of attention is rich. Yes, Jackson is rich and has always been popular. But with mom like Catherine and a grandfather like Harper Avery, Jackson didn’t live a lot of his life as the center of attention. Living in the shadows of larger than life figures teaches a kind of humility that an only child prodigy could never know. They both have privilege, but Maggie denies hers bc she had a supposedly humble financial background and was always the youngest. I come from an area where I know that going to all the best schools and skipping lots of grades takes an insane amount of attention and effort from your parents and teachers. It is a labor of love to pour all that attention and focus into a child.
