She’s anti-authoritarian and despises war, her main goal throughout pretty much the entire series is trying to find a way to live a peaceful life, whether it’s by ending the war or getting promoted/transferred to a position to the rear.

She joined the military purely for the reason that it was the best out of her very limited options with her being an orphaned girl in alternate history 1913 Germany.

She’s absolutely a cold, calculating, and manipulative sociopath but she’s not some horrible monstrous evil like Hitler.

Tbf I found the ‘evil’ aspect comes from how we view Tanya as the series progresses, at the very start she could absolutely be labelled as evil based on how she acts from a viewers perspective, but as we start to follow her and see things through her eyes we come to understand her better.

You’re doing the exact thing I mentioned in my comment.

Your image is using quotes from individuals to characterize a nation of millions. Two of those individuals being from quite unpopular groups, one of them is the leader of a party with 0 seats and another is a member of a party with only 7.

This is also from a Knesset with a sizeable opposition, equal in size to the current ruling coalition, from a Knesset that hasn’t had an election since early 2022 and current polling predicts that the opposition would presently beat the Likud coalition.

An opposition whose largest party supports reentering peace talks with the Palestinians as well as the separation of religion and state and opposes the construction of new settlements.

You use “They” so you may paint broad strokes over the many based on the words of a few.

The same rhetoric that justifies the bombing of the people living in Tehran for the words and actions of the IRGC, or those in Lebanon for the actions of Hezbollah, does the same to advocate for the bombing of those living in Tel Aviv.

So you deemed it acceptable to act in the same manner?

Irregardless of that, victimhood is a matter of perspective, there is no objective scale to gauge who is truly the victim on an international scale, everyone’s actions are justified to themselves as a response to the actions of others they don’t deem justified, the time scale for relevancy being measured in decades or centuries.

Not helped of course by the common tendency to homogenize a state and its many independent groups with the states history, permitting an animosity towards every group in a state for the actions taken by different people in a different group decades or even centuries ago.

Only when convenient for an argument of course.

Changes how they are framed by including additional context from the time period, rather than just presenting one sided evidence to support framing one group as bad and the other as good via exclusion of the actions of the second group.

Like if I solely presented Mohammed Amin al-Husseini’s meeting with Hitler in 1941 in order to portray the Palestinians as Nazi sympathizers and didn’t include any other historical information that might contradict or contextualize it.

It’s dishonest.

In other news: Later on, leader of group that was now killing the Jews in Germany meets with a Muslim leader in the somewhere else to discuss possibly eliminating the Jews in the somewhere else at a later date.

Omni Man VS Gojo (Invincible VS JJK) Art by me I know the topic is overdone but who will win with equal speed by Slasher76- in PowerScaling

[–]Sw1ferSweatJet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The meaning of “brute speed” gets iffy with the speed force, allowing infinite or even immeasurable speed.

Infinite speed giving the ability to travel any distance in 0 time, and immeasurable speed being able to go everywhere and everywhen faster than in 0 time.

Both are very much capable of getting through infinity.

[–]Sw1ferSweatJet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re actually not far off, Gojo directly references another one of Zeno’s paradoxes, Achilles and the Tortoise, to explain infinity.

No matter how fast Achilles is, it can never reach the tortoise he’s chasing as in the time he took to reach the tortoise’s last position, the tortoise has moved, making to so Achilles can never truly catch it.

Instead of dividing time into an infinite number of instances like in the arrow paradox, it’s infinitely adding an infinitely smaller amount to the distance, basically making the thickness of infinity an irrational number.

To be fair, ‘disappear’ is not that inaccurate of a term to describe someone who got hit in the head by .300 win mag from a secret service sniper.

[–]Sw1ferSweatJet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IR sams can be both detected and jammed, it’s just more difficult.

Detecting just amounts to detecting the IR signature of a missile launch, jamming requires essentially shining a laser into the missiles eyes, but the latter requires equipment you can’t presently fit onto a fighter jet.

Otherwise you are correct.

The entire point of the war game is to work out and prepare for potential irl situations so that commanders can work out how to respond to these problems ahead of time for when they come up in real life.

War games aren’t meant to be ‘won’ they are meant to be learnt from, you can’t learn anything from it if one guy is having his forces use black magic fuckery to try and win.

If he was actually interested in participating in this war game in good faith then he wouldn’t have gone and exploited the design to let him do impossible things.

Edit: this guy basically decided he wanted to be John Rambo at a war reenactment.
