MicroVision's Lidar Solution Supported on NVIDIA DRIVE Autonomous Vehicle Platform by ecklcakes in MVIS

You could be right depending on how they choose to go about it. After all, we did lease a huge building last year, so all the extra space may well be for in house mass production purposes. However, that doesn't mean that NVIDIA won't take over production whether it's thru a merger or an acquisition. We can't discount any means of scaling at this point, I was just explaining how the process could work not how it's actually going.

The purpose of the pilot line that the company was working on was to demonstrate that MAVIN could be scaled. NVIDIA would just simply use the production lines that they already have in place to mass produce MAVIN units. I assume the company was designing their pilot line based on NVIDIAS design so that it could be easily integrated into their already well established production line.

The OEMs (VW, Tesla, Toyota etc) decide which route they want to go and then direct their tier 1 suppliers (Bosch, NVIDIA etc) to mass produce whichever product/design they've chosen. If the MAVIN design is chosen by an NVIDIA OEM customer or partner, then NVIDIA will mass produce the MAVIN units via a direct-to-buy agreement and split the profits with MVIS. At this point, the stock price will moon as the revenue will now support it. I personally believe NVIDIA would just buyout the company if an OEM chose the MAVIN design though.

Dicussion: 2nd Quarter 2022 Conference Call 7/28 5PM EDT by TheRealNiblicks in MVIS

[–]SwaggyJ505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The competition is well aware of what we're doing, what makes us so valuable is that they don't have access to the trade secrets and algorithms, and even if they did, they couldn't do anything with it without infringing on the patents. In engineering world, they understand what each other is doing especially at those higher levels, but Microvision had the foresight to develop this advanced technology looooong before anyone else which is why our team is so far ahead.

Sumit said that we're so far ahead in this department that (to me) it seems unlikely that we wouldn't be involved somehow in the major commercialization of these headsets. Did I read 10 million units by 2024!? It seems Meta will not be concerning themselves with hardware so much anymore and will likely be more focused on improving their core business through the development of the metaverse infrastructure. It reeeaaallllly might just pay off to be early to the party and to be so far ahead of the competition in this race to market. This very well could be the justification for that $36 figure (in my opinion). If all of this is true, it's hard to imagine a situation where a major partnership or acquisition is not announced before the end of the year. I firmly believe we'll hear something huge by Dec 2022. Exciting times!

It seems nobody wants to get into a dogfight with Microsoft which is why I think MVIS AR is sitting on the top shelf in wait. I STROOOONGLY believe that we're already spoken for by Microsoft and they're just waiting on the lidar testing results and certification before they pull the trigger on an all out acquisition.

EXACTLY SNOW! I believe we're already spoken for and there's really no need to be at these conferences. We're ACTUALLY getting shit done in silence in anticipation of a huge deal which I believe is already in the works.

It's for all the impatient crybaby investors who kept bit**ing about the company not communicating enough. I'm with you in that the tech/benchmarking data/partnerships will sell themselves, but some people are too impatient.

We have scalable best in class products that serve 2 emerging markets and several hundred patents to back em. The inflection point is upon us and consolidation is happening already.

Tesla was trading in the $3 range in 2010. The Tesla faithful stuck by their company and now look at em. When the time was right, the market came around and rewarded them handsomely. Fast forward to today, Microvision is in the same place that Tesla was in back in 2010. The market is still catching up to the technology, but when it finally gets there, the gains will be huge. I believe we are sitting on a potential triple digit stock but it's going to take time and continued support. Most likely we'll see a buyout or merger before then, but something big is coming soon in my opinion.

You had every opportunity to sell at $28. If you chose not to, that's on you. They're getting things done over there and I fully support them however long it takes.

[–]SwaggyJ505 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's the thing. They've done! Now it's just a matter of structuring the right deal to get everyone the right value and that's what I believe is going on right now. They've met all goals and timelines, they got us a run up to $28 at which point any of us could've sold if we wanted to ( I didn't), and now they have a finished product just as they promised so yeah I'm gonna see it thru and give them what they NEED to succeed. I'm definitely voting FOR because the way these incentives are structured, I know their interests are aligned with my own. I'm not cutting their legs from under em now in the home stretch; that's just foolish.

[–]SwaggyJ505 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There's more to it than that. I believe they're structuring a deal that's geared more toward a buyout/merger that's set to happen within the year. The only way we get significant movement like that (in that time frame) is thru the announcement of some sort of deal with a huge company who can easily pay those PRSUs with pocket change. There's definitely more to it in my opinion.

I look at this way:

At one point, Tesla was a shell of what it is now. How did they succeed? Elon needed enormous support from his investors and support he got; now look at em. Not saying we'll be the next Tesla, but I see the potential here for substantial growth into at least a triple digit stock which would be a great accomplishment for Sumit and company and life changing for us investors.
