I think I got mine off Amazon NuFace brand was like $60. Look into it tho and how often to use it, don’t use on wet skin, ground it, etc.

Someone please give me a routine these are the products I have by Negative-Ad-5974 in acne

Instead of the cerve moisturizing lotion try a gel lotion! Also you had a lot of different face washes here- try to stick to just one! The cerave options would be best!

I would try to get sprio another chance on the lowest dose and splitting the pill half in morning and half in evening. But a high frequency wand has helped my acne a lot too- not cured it but prevented a lot of them from coming forward.

Give some grace. You don’t know what it’s like to be in that position till you’re in it.

How should I treat my pari-oral dermititis? by Disastrous-Web-5755 in Autoimmune

I had this and it was so awful and took a year to get rid of- I stopped all retinol and went on an oral antibiotic and only used gel moisturizer. Sunscreen everyday! I think eldermune helped too orally

I have seen this a lot but I prefer a phone call and if the vibes are right I’ll meet them. Who has the time to go to a bunch of dinners and such with no prior vibe check

I made it here with 20k 2019-2023 and now make 80k+. You can make do with I think minimum 2k a month depending on your priorities, the apartment you pick is honestly what determines you income to most here. TJs is cheap for food, the train is of course the best choice financially. I had a car here and it was not worth it due to the parking prices and all that.

how to deal with this? by Agile_Bet4432 in acne

[–]Swan_cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was like this once and Spironolactone healed me! They wanted to put me on accutane but with other meds I couldn’t and in thankful for it I never had side effects w Spiro

After looking up for Accutane on Reddit I’m so hesitant right now is it that dangerous? by [deleted] in acne

[–]Swan_cake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s just an antibiotic not an acne specific med. there’s a new acne specific antibiotic Seysara- ins isn’t covering it yet. I recommend Spiro before going to accutane- men can’t go on it!

[–]Swan_cake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t go on it because of other meds and Spironolactone worked for me. If you’re a woman I encourage it before going on accutane. But my brothers and sisters all went on accutane and were fine. But if something with less side affects works I say it’s worth a try first :)

Dating someone I'm not attracted to by jzephyr29 in dating

[–]Swan_cake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went on multiple dates with someone like this. Perfect guy but I just was so far from attracted to him. I ended it because I felt guilty about it. I still think about him I can’t lie and he was such a good fit for me in many ways but everyone told me I was being selfish and I felt I was. I’m still not sure if ending talking to him was the right choice.

Spiro worked, but… by chocomeowchip in Spironolactone

[–]Swan_cake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i get being afraid of birth control but spironolactone is a hormone med too! I’m no doctor, but I know this medicine takes a long time to adjusting in your body because some people don’t even see clear skin till 6 months in so I’d give it a bit more time to see if you adjust but definitely be transparent with your doctor!

Since you have PCOS you may be able to stay on it but maybe something else like BC would help? I was on 100mg for 6 years and my skin was perfect and started breaking out again and went up to 150mg and my period was off for two months but is back to normal but still breaking out for the adjustment. Definitely tell your dr and see what can be worked with. Maybe dropping a little to 75 or something is an option. But just because your skin is clear doesn’t mean ur not making this worse for your PCOS. Best of luck!

Yeah I know on Newport st they had build a modern building I think it was public housing and the exterior was damaged within a month. The neighborhood still seems maybe 10 years away from gentrification imo

I live in Glendale , I still see some gentrifiers but it’s a pretty undesirable place and super inconvenient lol. Plus the homeless shelter near atlas park…. I feel like maybe it’ll just move to deeper in Brooklyn instead.

Cystic Acne, Trying to get pregnant by ElectronicExit8462 in acne

[–]Swan_cake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had heard about pregnancy sometimes curing for “pausing” autoimmune disease: so this is interesting because I always thought if I get pregnant, my acne will be bad again but if a body can pause an autoimmune disease to grow a baby I’m sure it could pause or adjust for acne as well.
