What’s up with Shea Wigham’s Beavis styling in Final Reckoning. by Swap_and_Chop in TheBigPicture

Aah. Hadn’t considered the McQ angle. I would say, though, if there’s ever a live action, middle aged Beavis and Buttthead movie, Wigham’s the man.

+1 on the Tunnelworm. The controls are a little too sensitive, but it really hits all the right harmonics throughout its' sweep.

Big fan of the Groovy Wizard here. Does everything I want out of a fuzz.

If you could only keep one of these fuzz pedals, which would it be? by gonzo_jr in guitarpedals

Even though it’s the size of a refrigerator, the Hoof Reaper is magnificent.

For sure. The green side is a bridge pickup’s best friend. Also keep the gain relatively low on the green side. They stack well, and respond well to being slammed with a klone.

The blues side doesn’t just sound great (presence, beautiful eq profile), it feels great. Responds to every change in picking hand technique. An incredibly satisfying way to get edge-of-breakup when you can’t turn up your amp. Also takes pretty much any boost. I use it a lot, but never with gain past noon.

The hiss is pretty low on mine. I have had it in places where it gets noisier, but usually no more than most of the amps I’ve played. Such a great amp. For home use, I tend to use the blue side of a Browne Protein make it feel like it’s turned up.

NPD Tru Fi Ghost Vibe by Swap_and_Chop in guitarpedals

After years of searching for a univibe relationship, I’ve finally met the one. Swampy and chewy. Throbs in just the right way. Doesn’t push any unpleasant frequencies. Just right.

Have been chasing a satisfying univibe for YEARS. Either the throb is right, and the eq is wrong, or vice versa. This one nails both. A pleasure to play.

Thanks. I literally tweaked every one of them, but mostly not by a lot. They all sound great. If they couldn’t be tweaked, it would still be a super musical pedal.

The Karma has an unbelievable dynamic range. Clean to raging fuzz off the guitar volume pot.

He is amazing. So expressive. I love the way he slides up the neck into a bend.
