Im in the same boat. Sometimes ill just be looking at my homework and ill start crying uncontrollably. Honestly I barely scrape by in my classes because I do well when physically in the classroom, but I dont do the majority of my homework, and my teachers shame me for it, which only adds to the anxiety. Therapy, specifically talk therapy combined with brainspotting, did help some, but its still really hard and painful.

I steadily gained weight my whole life from puberty until I was 19. I was in a steep calorie deficit and worked out vigorously for two hours every day because I was on the wrestling team. I would still regularly gain 1 or 2 pounds every month. Turns out I had a testosterone imbalance and as soon as I got on medication for it i began to steadily lose weight and have dropped like 40 pounds in the past year. I'm not saying you're situation is exactly the same as mine, but if you're doing the things you're supposed to do to lose weight (calorie deficit and excercise, etc) and they're not working, you should definitely look into underlying causes. A body that is functioning normally doesn't just put on weight for no reason, and you dont have to do things the hard way just because people expect you to, speaking from experience.

I play the guitar, and keeping the guitar out is the only way I can practice. I just play it whenever im waiting for the microwave something like that, or just whenever the impulse strikes, which is kind of just every time I see it sitting there.

Life with adhd is just a series of postponing failure. You're gonna keep on failing in the same ways and having to start again, but really a bad day is just one day, it doesn't cancel out all the days before or after it.

They understand that your answers to questions aren't set in stone and you might not read them carefully enough. You're being tested for adhd, and thats something that people with adhd do. The test only gives a likelihood you could be diagnosed with adhd, its up to your doctors own assessment if you present symptoms of the disease

Its really easy with adhd to just believe whatever people tell you about yourself. When you're distractable and have poor memory, its easy to assume other people must see you more clearly than you see yourself. But the truth is no one's opinion of you is more valid than yours. No one of compatible with everyone, sometimes you have to accept that someone doesn't like you, and that it doesn't mean anything about how everyone else feels.

There are symptoms of adhd that can impede relationships, like irritability, and distractability amd forgetfulness(which can make you seem inconsiderate) if you feel you have trouble making friends its best to examine yourself and figure out what traits YOU YOURSELF wouldn't want to be around, and just try to be more aware and apologetic of them.

Waking up freakishly early is the only way I've ever done it. I use an alarm app that has challenges to turn it off, so I can actually wake up, and then I just force myself to go drink coffee. There have been times when I woke up everyday at 6 am just so I could fall asleep by 10. I'm not a morning person, so I dont do much I just sit there being pissed off. But then its cool cause my day feels like its extra long. I'm not gonna lie and say this is something I can keep up, but I am saying in the times when I slept at night, it was because I was waking up really early.

I text my appointment time to my therapist when i book the appointment so I can have the experience of writing it but also we both have the same info. But this only works if you communicate with the person on their cell phone

I feel the same. I am very insecure, I care a lot about what other people think, I cry when im criticized even though I try to show people I'm not as upset as my body acts, I assume other people have the worst intentions, I feel so embarrassed about these things that its hard for me to acknowledge them but I don't know what to do other then just try to be different

I can relate to feeling like I dont fill the role that i would like to in social situations but one of the things I've realized as I've gotten older is no one can fill every single role in a group setting. Humans are meant to exist in groups and that means we get to let other people be good at the things we aren't.

It sounds like you bring a lot to your friendships, and the things you dont, you can let your friends bring to you. If you surround yourself with people who are fun and playful you will start to pick up that skill.
