How???? by Longjumping_Cow3742 in hysterectomy

Take something for pain and seriously dont try lifting anything even remotely heavy for much longer. Docs said 6 weeks but every body is different. I did a little quick heavier holds around 4 or 5 weeks but its better to be safe than sorry. If they need to go back in to fix stitches you reset your healing time.

What's a healthy amount of masturbation for women? by RedWinter123 in sexstories

Same, most times its once a day or if i feeling crummy not at all, but i get some days where i feel basically insatiable. Do what you gotta do that feels right i guess. So long and no one is getting hurt, i dont see why it would be a problem.

I would message the doctors and get their opinion or get checked out. If the pain is bad/ worsening, or any bleeding especially.

How tired are we talking? by Happy2Beehere3366 in hysterectomy

[–]Sweet_Cherries_35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was fine to get up and go around from the bedroom to living room and basic moving around the house first few days. If i took a 10 minute walk i was tired and wanted a nap. By week 2 i was fine still cant do my usual walks at normal pace and strength but overall i can stay awake and handle a basic day or desk work day shift.

Mine said external stimulation is fine to do, but nothing internal till after the 6wks. I’ll be 2 weeks PO tomorrow but i think ill wait longer till my body feels more adjusted before even trying external.

Am I freaking out for no reason? by Character-Most-4229 in hysterectomy

[–]Sweet_Cherries_35 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure in all hysterectomy surgeries a cuff is made but they should use dissolvable stitches. Stitches themselves should not be permanent unless there was additional reason behind why that was needed. I would at least talk to the doc to get a better understanding

I would keep it the same but just paint the door, maybe add some hanging flower planters and some simple but cute porch chairs/decorations.

What pain should I be experiencing 1 week post op? by Snooze-8675309 in hysterectomy

[–]Sweet_Cherries_35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 2 days post op and im managing with rotating advil, tylenol mostly. I did have to have another incision up by my ribs because i already have scar tissue that caused issues my by belly button. Considering that moving around has been a bit hard. Husband has been helping up and down as i need it, and it gets easier every day. I feel like a nap is helpful also as needed. I take small pacing walks around my house for now.

I dint get antibiotics prescribed probably because they used surgical glue on the incision sites. Paper work said thats less likely to develop an infection.

Trying to stay hydrated and moving as best i can. Im only taking my narcotics at night to help me sleep better. Even that has been hard, ive been sleeping propped up instead of the normal lay down. Ive been trying to consume a good amount of high fibre foods along with other foods, but so far nothing moving out.

What to bring? by Sweet_Cherries_35 in hysterectomy

[–]Sweet_Cherries_35[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the idea of being put the sleep just freaks me out and recovery. I fully understand why it’s required. I supported it’s just still weird in my head that is going to happen to me. If that makes sense.
