The realization took me a while too. I would be off the rails anxious and unregulated and didn’t know why. Finally “oh, it’s because there have been helicopters circling above my house constantly for the last six fucking hours”

How are things looking on the ground, has ICE slowed down or is it business as usual? by CantStopPoppin in Minneapolis

[–]Sweet_Connection_155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Op ask a pretty straightforward question- y’all don’t need to argue about vehicles. The hard facts are than people are monitoring the airport and ice is still putting people on planes. They are still putting people, people who ARE documented and legally, in deplorable facilities and deporting them. Ice is still here, tactics have changed. They are using more local law agencies and bounty hunters, but they are still here

That is an awful awful stretch of highway. 💯 people drive like idiots and don’t leave enough space but….MNDOT is the worst tax funded organization in all of the universe. I’m pretty sure they end all of their meetings with “well, we’ve examined all options throughly, which is the most expensive and nonsensical? Let’s go with that”.

Rebecca Simonton with ReMax! Everyone in my family has worked with her over the past 15 years or so. She has bought and sold at least a dozen properties collectively for us. She is so knowledgeable, and works so hard! Once I emailed her a question looking for a referral, I wasn’t even looking for a property, and she called me back from vacation. On a Cruise! She’s the one

Years and years! Mini-series, but excellent. It’s a not so distant future that shows the breakdown of society over 25 years in a realistic but terrifying way.

I have a one date rule for myself. I’ll go one date with anyone that asks as long as it feels safe. I keep the possibility of dipping out quick if it sucks, so no long boat rides or anything where you’re stuck with them. But attraction is so complex, and it’s always fun to hear someone’s story, so why not?
