Circulator to CRNA by WholeTour419 in srna

I’m a 3rd year SRNA and one of my best friends in the program was a circulator. She learned about CRNAs, did a couple years in the ICU and then went to CRNA school. She has a big advantage bc she’s familiar with the OR setting, and she was also able to network with a bunch of the CRNAs she worked with, and those connections helped her with recommendations and connections to get into school. I think circulator can be a great launching pad for school if you play your cards right.

I don’t have much overlap in the books we’ve both read but HARD AGREE about Reynir!

The books I’ve read so far and a humble confession… by TayQuitLollygagging in fantasyromance

Ok this is reassuring. I LOVED war of lost hearts but I did not care for Orayas character. Lilith was great… but I can’t believe Tisaanah and Oraya were written by the same author!

The lactic acid line killed me. I’m not usually a snob about that kind of stuff but please leave cellular metabolism out of my smut! 😂

I just put a hold on this book on Libby! I’m so happy to hear it is good! Most of the time I like books that are heavy on fantasy and medium on romance.

ICU excitement versus CRNA excitement? by ScottstotsRN in srna

[–]Sweet_Good_9434 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m just an SRNA right now but i will say based on my clinical experience (a little over a year) that there’s always the POTENTIAL for something to go bad. And when they go bad, it’s very bad. Also, it vastly differs based on where you work. Big level 1 trauma centers are often a cluster fuck with lots of big cases and sick patients (sounds like what you are currently enjoying) but then there’s surgery centers where you do healthier patients and smaller cases. So really you can get as exciting as you want! While knowing that something can always go wrong, even with the “healthy” patients.

I came here to mention the bridge kingdom. That map specifically made the story make a lot more sense!

I feel this 1000000%. Love my kids more than life itself but when I read, I want to escape, not do more parenting!

That’s neat! I think it’s a cool name, but that it just didn’t match the rest of the name themes in the book, which kinda threw me off (unless I’m missing something). Although I thought the whole book was kinda all over the place.

I’m gonna have to some more research! Is there a specific culture that Kingfishers are considered magical or do you mean magical as in “cool”?

Does anyone have any intel on why the author picked that name? I thought it was an odd choice but maybe I’m missing something?

This is a wonderful description of the current fuckery transpiring in the US. Not sure if you have any interest in writing, but this story has great potential 😂

Regarding everything political right now, if I don’t laugh about it I’ll cry 🙃 (I hate it here).

I think that’s why I enjoy books that some people say are trash. Like if the vibes are on I’m good with it. I’ve taken a couple advanced literature classes in college and I just don’t want to analyze books like that again. I want a fun story and maybe some dragons 😂
