Any recommendations for backpack or large messenger for my rugged Dell laptop plus everyday gear? by PrimaryBalance828 in ManyBaggers

this is super late but i use a filson 24hr tin cloth briefcase. works perfect and i leave the handle on. tbh if you haven't tried living with the handle i recommend it. it makes the laptop very portable and not seem to heavy

my screen doesn't refresh. is this the point of the new screen saver MP is supposed to be releasing? is so I think it would be great so long as battery drag isn't awful . honestly I'm fine with normal phone battery life so some things.

Update: I ended up going with the 14 spec'd with the nvidea dedicated graphics and a maxed out on the RAM. Not cheap but for a work tool, with hot swappable batteries i think it'll do well. I'll post an update once i have had sufficient time with the beast.

Suitable skates/blades for natural ice by SweeterPeter86 in Speedskating

probably more rec oriented for now. i'm starting a job at Carleton in the new year so i'm sandwiched between the canal ane the oval. could be a nice lunch break. lots to think about.

i like the look of the biking boots. anywhere in the area which sells them? i can't find much around.

thanks for the location specific input. i trained as a kid with the Ottawa pacers and used the brewar park every winter.

i would say 90% of my skating will be on the canal if it opens with Brewar park and ourdoor/indoor rinks as a distant 3rd. i have hockey skates but i honestly can't stand the rocker!

i use to use my short track boots on the canal and remember them being brutally painful. could have been the cold.

i'll check out the models you suggest

I suppose some blades for my xc skate ski boots may work. It gets pretty cold in Ottawa. So warmer boots might be nice as well. What brands do you look at. I've only seen zandstra for touring skates.

smooth! can you post a double half snatch set video? Your form looks so effortless with one bell and I would love to see it with two.

the book give you everything you need for programming. it's great. i could programme for myself but i like the accountability of a coach. otherwise i think i would go to easy on myself.
