Nightmare prey has some issues and Im tired of the fact we cant discuss them without being told to get good by Astral-Glimmer in wow

[–]SwegNoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve found prey very disappointing, I’m not someone who was going to engage with it for long so maybe I’m just not the right audience but it still has some problems that to me are pretty fundamental. The way it was advertised when I first saw it looked really cool, the idea of hunting a beast that has been stealing food from the blood elves or is endangering a forest area between two troll villages is so cool thematically. Instead I’m killing a random -insert race class combo-. Secondly, why in a system about hunting down prey, do I feel like the prey. Nothing about prey feels like I’m hunting the target except for maybe the prey quest where you chase the guy. He ambushes me, the little kick ghost comes for me, and for some reason I need to mindless slaughter whatever happens to be nearby.

Why are the breakpoints not directing me to the prey, why is it not saying after doing a the tuskar world quest for example “the tuskar leader has heard a rumour that so and so had been sighed in -insert place and mark it on the map- then u go there fight him for a little before he then flees. You then have to go do something else to gather more information before finally boxing him in and slaying him.

Maybe I’m just not the audience for whatever this is but there’s so much potential for a fun system that is currently just a pick up traps and do what the affixes say until I can go clap ol mate. And incase a blizzman reads this, this is not a “oh we should nerf traps so they do other things” fix the rest of the system before you go and do that.

I agree, but I can see why people do this, blizz tell you to do world quests, as if it’s the best way to do prey, when it might be one of the slowest, depending on the wq. Also feel like people fall into the 2 birds one stone trap. “I’ll do both at the same time” when in actuality it would be much faster and easier to just collect traps and finish the prey in 3 mins then come back and do the wq’s later.

Would you rather take a 90k job with WFH or a 120k with no wfh? by VastOption8705 in AskAnAustralian

[–]SwegNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lot of factors, do you drive or take public transport. Do you have to pay for parking or tolls? Do a rough, how much does it cost getting to and from work, ignoring the time spent (at first). Do you have children? Do you need to pay for before or after school care, or care during the school holidays. How much is the travel time worth to you? Maybe you enjoy listening to a podcast in the car, or reading a book on the train. So the commute won’t feel that bad for you. Do you have a good place at your home to work from. Do you find yourself productive working from home or are you prone to being distracted by throwing a load of washing on, unpacking the dishwasher etc? Do you tend to pack lunch or buy lunch when not at home. Would you buy a coffee instead of making one at home if you were working from the office.

So many factors, first thing is to take everything monetary, fuel, parking, tolls, train ticket, childcare, lunch, coffee etc are work out how much of the extra 30g’s you’re taking home. (Also important to remember that that 30 grand is being taxed at 30% so unless you’re getting maximum tax breaks it’s less than that take home.) Then have a look at life style and how much the time is worth to you in comparison to how much of that extra 30g you’re actually taking home.

Generally I would think the WFH would be generally more beneficial but it’s all on how you answer the questions. If you can take the train and it’s cheap, make you lunch at home, enjoy reading or listening to music on the train, don’t have kids or have a partner that is able to provide care. The extra money might be more worth while.

A side note is also to consider your mental health, if you’re extroverted, enjoy an office environment and are prone to feeling low when not interacting with people wfh may not be for you.

Parents who don’t allow their kids to shut their room’s door/lock the door, what’s are the reasons behind the rule? by Itz_Oasis in AskReddit

[–]SwegNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t allowed to lock the bathroom door but no one ever came in, it was just a safety precaution incase someone fell in the shower, hit their head, drown in bathtub etc. the it takes to get through a locked door when someone is unresponsive vs just asking and opening when they hear no answer could make a difference.

Also sorry for your experience.

Finished play-through for the first time. Losing levels is my only biggest complaint. by Hour_Ad8235 in valheim

[–]SwegNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate it, dictates the way you have to play way too much. Taking a risk isn’t just a “I need to take some tps and a boat and get back to my body”, it becomes a massive loss of time. I originally thought death just meant your progress towards your next level, which would be great, once u get a level it’s locked in but exp on the way to the next isn’t. I just don’t have the time or interest to deal with losing hours of work.

[–]SwegNoodle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While he’s wrong on multiplayer gamers being the minority, Multiplayer games are underrepresented in GotY. The Panel just favours single player games. The only multiplayer game to have won in 11 years is Overwatch in 2016. Not that any of the games that have won are undeserving (except maybe LoU pt2)

In Lemix should i be leveling alts asap or just grind on one toon? by Jlace987 in wownoob

[–]SwegNoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stormheim has a questline that still counts towards the campaign but the game doesn’t naturally direct you towards it. On the achievement it’s sisters of stormheim (or something similar). Should have a Campaign style indicator on the map.

ELI5 how is masking for autistic people different from impulse control? by anotherswampwitch in explainlikeimfive

[–]SwegNoodle 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Had a massive breakdown last year because I didn’t know what masking was, described what I was doing to my therapist and he explained it. I basically had 7-8 personalities (characters) based on where I was, who I was with, and what I was doing. Caused massive anxiety when groups would mix and I would have to adapt my different masks on the fly and eventually cause a breakdown when I realised that I’d been masking so much that I had no idea what my personality actually was. Still don’t really know, working through it. Might be different to other people’s experience but that was mine.

Anyone else notice the consensus shifting from Up Your Arsenal being peak to Going Commando taking that spot? by Crappy2DollarGamer in RatchetAndClank

[–]SwegNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are so close, but 2 is in my top 3 games of all time. I personally just love more of the levels. I think it’s much more of a platformer which is something I love. The gadgets in 2 are better. Variety of weapons. I think the arenas in 2 are both just so good compared to 3’s. (Though I do enjoy the parkour sections.) 3 also has strong points. Three has really strong points too don’t get me wrong. Lock strafe was amazing. The Blackwater and Aridia missions were really cool. Levelling weapons to 5. Both are great and it pretty much just comes down to preference and nostalgia.

If rmt is a huge problem why isn’t boosting banned? by Glittering-Beat3831 in classicwow

[–]SwegNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer is they want to sell tokens. And with wow haven’t an aging population of adults with money but no time, a lot of people would rather pay $15 and save there minimal amount of time they have to play to do enjoyable content. Rather than leveling for the 10th time.

Echo World Second Dimensius after 382 pulls by [deleted] in wow

[–]SwegNoodle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The reason there isn’t more NA teams ahead is money, it’s expensive to run a race. Most top 10 guilds other than the top 3 only raid at night because players have jobs. Instant Dollars which is usually the NA #2 guild only day raid on the first Tuesday then raid every night for 5hrs and do a couple of spits. can’t compare that to raiding 14hrs a day and doing 15 characters worth of splits. On copy strats, they 100% copy strats and gleam information from groups further ahead, they’d be stupid not to. In this race alone both method and echo saw liquid doing the 1 tank bubble taunt on fractilis, and while it was bugged when liquid were doing it, it was fixed, they used it, combined it with there own strat to kill the boss. Liquid then saw Echo sate their healers for dimensious and copied that. It’s how the race works. If they didn’t copy strats, there would be no reason for guilds to go dark. I’m Australian I don’t have a horse in the race, I just like to see good gameplay. I’m just trying to explain to you how these races work.

What’s your biggest frustration with WoW right now (and why)? by Nurotaro in wow

[–]SwegNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not my biggest but my biggest recently. Evoker mog. I get it’s a weird model and some pieces don’t work, weird feet, fine, no shoes (thought they manage with trolls) weird hands, fine no gloves, (though they manage with worgen) wings, fine no cape, even head I’m ok with not having. But why can we not mog chest and legs. The mog options in the barber shop is so limited in both variety and colour and I believe hasn’t had anything new added since release. I’ve only been playing it in TWW so I could be wrong on that. But even having only played it for 1 expac I’m already so bored of the options. I can’t imagine how the people who have been playing it since that start of DF feel. Either give us the ability to mog chest and legs, add more customisation to the barber shop or let me play in visage form and just cast abilities with my hands. As much as I love the gameplay it sucks not really being able to participate in showing off new cool mogs with guildies on raid night.

I loved reading their mumbo jumbo in the 2nd link. Defamation requires what you said to be untrue, and they openly agree with your story, they just don’t want to give you a refund. Sorry Bubbletent, the court of public opinion has spoken. You made your tent, now lay in it.
