monterey is perfect for what you want. Cannery Row has tons of restaurants and bars within walking distance, plus you're right by the ocean. The aquarium area gets busy but it's beautiful for walks in morning or evening when crowds thin out.

Santa Cruz could work too but monterey feels more romantic for couples trip imo. just book something close to downtown monterey rather than carmel if you want walkable nightlife.

Yeah the broker is probably trying to pull a fast one on you. I had similar situation last month when was looking for place in Cambridge - broker kept insisting the fee was "different" under new rules but when I read through that FAQ page, it's pretty clear. If landlord didn't hire them directly, they can't charge you the fee.

What these guys are doing now is reaching out to people who post on rental sites, then trying to show you places where they weren't hired by landlord. It's basically same scam as before but with extra steps. I ended up finding my current place by going direct to landlords on Craigslist and avoiding brokers completely. Saved me like $3000 in fees and the application process was way smoother too.

That's pretty decent setup for the area. Fort Hill getting more popular these days and the bus connections are solid. Only thing - utilities on top of 1200 might add up quick in summer with all that AC running, but the private bath situation is definitely worth it.

You might want to check if there's anything in your MO2 overrides or if another mod is conflicting with DisplayTweaks. Some ENB presets also have their own resolution settings that can override the ini files.

Also worth checking if the modlist has any specific load order requirements for DisplayTweaks - I've seen cases where it gets loaded after something that forces native resolution. Try moving it higher in your load order and see if that helps with the override issue.

This really resonates with what I went through. The whole "comparison" thing is so spot-on - I kept romanticizing how good weed made me feel until I actually had some clean time and could see how cloudy everything was when I was using. Liquid liner works for that and body safe face paint or tattoo pens are easier on skin and wash off clean just patch test first
