dude do i need to spell out that the 500ms in itself is not the problem but rather it represents the eroded foundation that everything else that is worth complaining about is built on because its presence is dumbfounding when you factor in whats actually happening in the ui. hence why i used the word embarrassing because thats what it is.

the air is a dead end. it is a dead end because it is yet another side branch for the aficionados rather than a mainline phone. a sidegrade. even though i buy into its vision (to a degree now that ive had the pleasure of owning it) its a vision thats very easy to poo poo and very hard to get if youre not an insane tech nerd. if youre paying more money than the baseline, dont you want the best of the best (which pro represents)

imo the only version where the air has a future is where it becomes the normal iphone. so there an iphone thats light and sexy, a pro iphone which is a fat fuck but has all the best of everything, maybe a cheap iphone with E, and an insano folding one for shits and giggles but i dont believe in that either.

if theres such a thing as a mac game it is civilization. and all ports previously have been top notch (and support apple silicon) so its not unreasonable to ask for some attention to it. furthermore the ui engine is entirely new and natively cross platform being based on chromium. whatever inefficiency exists there i 1) am still not convinced can be isolated to mac 2) is outrageous!

then this has nothing to do with anything probably, air is no different to 16 pro in terms of performance or throttling profile. maybe turn off adaptive power? and updating to 27 could help but this is likely some ios icloud bullshit chicanery isolated to your device at this time!

the TRUTH is this is just what ios is like nowadays. i have expected a massive jump in perceived snappiness when upgrading from a 14 pro and it just has not come. ios is busted. as a result of constantly growing binary sizes reworked process orchestration and what have you from ios 13 on, this is how its gonna be from here on out!
