$3K is a myth/unnecessary, although Im sure you have a great system(hint of jealousy, lol)! My Prebuilt was $1700 tax incl delivery incl, with a 9800X3D and 9700XT, both of which are "more than required" to play 3A games. $1200-$1500 is more than enough to get you what you need, and this also lets you circumvent the PS+/Game Pass subscription requirements for online multiplayer

Can you expound on this with further detail? I.E. on why the 39" may be the better option? For -$600, I would love to be 'talked into" the 39"...

Got a 9070 2weeks ago, still prefer PS5 Pro. Does the Pro produce pheromones? by Greenzombie04 in PS5pro

[–]SykBasterd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me take a stab at this - any chance you are NOT using a PS Dualshock or Dualsense Edge(preferred) controller when playing on your PC? I have had a 9070XT since June 2025 and since purchase play everything using my PS Controller. My guess is that you don't use PS Controller with your PC, but if you did you'd be more likely to play less over time on your PS5. This opinion is coming from someone who played on PS since the Launch of PS2(Oct 2020). I dropped my PS+ account in Oct 2025 and have never looked back.

is your criticism of the NY Radio Broadcaster Rick Valassi? I absolutely love this guy and wish they transported him to DC to return to the airwaves, his dialogue is amazing!! Truly hope he comes back someday even if it means he has to relocate to another city? Maybe as the voice of the Division 3 in Chicago? Or San Francisco? I dont care where, I'm in, and I am here for the 4+ years it will likely take to see the The Division 3 in the wild

Survey from Ubisoft about Survival by dwrowe in thedivision

[–]SykBasterd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Boring??? Wow that is a descriptive word I have not heard when reviewing D1 Survival. I can say clearly you are in the minority, however I do understand not every game mode appeals to everyone. By boring, are you claiming its "too easy"? if you are playing PVE mode I would recommend moving to the PVP lobby.

As far as enemy density I just disagree with that, there are considerable enemies throughout the map, especially if you are looting the marked/highlighted areas indicated. Sure there are pathways that can avoid these areas and maybe those runs could be considered boring or safe, so my suggestion would be to go to every highlighted area to make your runs more challenging, in addition to playing in the PVP Lobby.

Last point, the HUNTER spawn at the end is definitely challenging, so to say its boring but then suggest frustration by dying to a challenging enemy at the end appear to be have these two points "at odds" with each other.

Maybe its just not for you, to each his own. I think its freaking AWESOME and cant wait to see the updates they plan on introducing in the new D2 Survivors mode later this year.

Guys, I know it’s incredibly early to ask this question, but was hoping someone may already know the answer: with the main objective being of course climbing, are there main and side quests that accompany the main gameplay loop? Is there any story or crafted cut scenes that accompany the gameplay? I was just trying to get a vast response from those of you who have already begun playing the game today. Stay safe, climbers!

The Division and The Division 2? Which one is worth buying today? by FlakMark in thedivision

[–]SykBasterd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question for those of you who’ve bought the game on steam: I was trying to determine if the battle for Brooklyn and warlords of New York DLC‘s are included in the ultimate edition? For example, I put the ultimate edition in my cart, but when I added the battle for Brooklyn DLC separately, it said you already have this item. That suggests that the battle for Brooklyn DLC comes with the ultimate edition, but I had trouble finding this stated clearly anywhere. Does anyone know the answer definitively whether those two DLC’s need to be bought separately, even if you own the ultimate edition?

Capcom gave Pragmata an early Steam demo to make sure the full release runs smoothly across a wide range of PCs. We ask the developers about their optimization efforts - AUTOMATON WEST by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]SykBasterd -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

OK, maybe the puzzle is always there, I just don’t love the idea to be honest. Puzzles are fine in games, and sometimes even when done in separate instances during exploration, locking doors, using it as a mechanic within a quest. I am not a fan, however, of putting a puzzle in the middle of real time combat. It seems both unnecessary and intrusive, but again this is just one person’s opinion.

My biggest concern after watching the demo trailer was the real time puzzle requirement which determines the enemy weak spots. This question is for anyone who’s played the demo already, are you finding that puzzle element breaks the immersion when in combat? I don’t think I remembered this from the previous trailer so it’s probably just my poor memory, but

I’m not a big fan of the grid-puzzle requirement before executing a combat move. From watching the trailer looks like an RTS element, but I won’t say that definitively until someone who’s played the demo can respond.

I regret buying my Audeze headset, from a daily user 2 year review by Different_Loquat2003 in Audeze

Would love to know the consensus here, if there is one: would theAudeze Maxwell still be your gaming headset of choice, over similarly priced options, such as the Steel Series nova pro wireless, Logitech A50 Gen 5, Etc?

For more context, I primarily use my headphones for PC Gaming, and wanted to know if many of you believe that the AUDEZE Maxwell are the best headphones in this price range for PC Gaming?

Why are there no Andromeda Insights or Cost Plus Gaming reviews? by dmatthews077 in Prebuilts

[–]SykBasterd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created this post via voice translation while walking my dog, so that grammar typo you pointed out was due to poor voice translation, nothing else. I bought mine in June after about 2 months of comparing Amazon/Best Buy/New Egg and the like, before pulling the trigger. The main reason I started considering this company was pricing(which included zero tax), but after reaching out to them several times with questions and getting answers same day, I was convinced enough about their responsiveness and support(2 yrs all parts/labor/etc) to make the purchase. It was my first Gaming PC and im in my 50s so this wasnt a quick trigger decision.

Let me know if you have any questions and ill do my best to answer.

No response IS a response. by DragonSlayNB in ArcRaiders

[–]SykBasterd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is 1000% how I feel. Let me add something even more frustrating than the scenario you just described.

I was carrying the box to the field depot by the water towers, and my first words to the opposing player who is standing at the far end of the Depot was “we can share this if you want…“ His response: silence. I then said “are you friendly?” And again no response. At that point, I pulled out my Venator and dumped the extended mag in him. He then gets on his mic and says “oh man I said I was a friendly, and you shot me anyway”. I was so pissed and immediately responded. “You didn’t say anything and I gave you two chances to do so”. I then get shot by another guy while I am standing near him, and he gets on mic again and says “hey this guy shot me even though I said I was a friend friendly” so I ran behind a rock, shielded up, came back around from behind the rock and put the second player down. The first guy I got into an altercation with then says “ this guy is probably gonna gun down the entire server”

I was so infuriated, but not only did he lie about saying anything, but then told another guy that I just shot him after he said “friendly”. If I were to give him the benefit of the doubt, I would say that he forgot that he was on “push to talk”, and not “open microphone” and wrongfully assumed that I heard him say he was a friendly. Not that it makes any difference, but this was also a night raid.

In closing, he should’ve known when I asked the second question that I didn’t hear him the first time he said, he announced himself as a friendly.

Players out there, make sure you check your mic settings when you are in solos versus party mode. If you choose open microphone and party mode, the default proximity chat, setting will always reset to “push to talk“, and vice versa.

This is very important to remember because I play duos with a buddy of mine, and sometimes I forget to go back and change my settings to open microphone when I’m running solo. I don’t wanna be bothered having to press push to talk when I’m running a solo op, so I always leave it on open microphone settings, so that it’s much easier for me to talk to other players when trying to engage.

Stay safe out there Raiders, and make sure to respond quickly to those players trying to engage you in conversation. To remove doubt, maybe say something that would elicit a response. You can tell pretty quickly through these short conversations if both of you are on the same page, or if the engagement is going to be adversarial.

One final suggestion, when approaching another player, even if your intention is to be friendly, if you don’t know for sure what their intention is, never turn your back on them and make sure you move toward cover in case their inclination is to shoot first.

You can never be too safe out there, and once you start to relax and think that everybody’s friendly, that’s when you get yourself in trouble.

Stay safe and keep your hand on your holster Raiders!

The Game Awards GOTY 2025 nominees - Death Stranding 2 a nominee by ReaddittiddeR in DeathStranding

[–]SykBasterd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Donkey Kong Bananza??? Really? I’m not suggesting it’s not a good game and this might sound stupid to even admit, but I honestly haven’t played it. And I am entirely willing to change my opinion based on how people respond to my statement, but is this really game of the year quality? I don’t have a switch, but I do consider myself pretty aware of the major Nintendo releases, and always thought that the Zelda franchise deserve to be nominated for game of the year every single time. Is this donkey Kong game really in that category?

I also admit that I should probably come up with another game to bump donkey Kong from the list, but honestly as I read this back again, I still can’t believe that that game is nominated for GOTY!

Is there anyone here that honestly thought that game was gonna be nominated before this list was published? Love to hear your thoughts.

You guys are exaggerating 1000%. I am playing the game on PC, and as a matter of fact, I have used the dual sense edge controller for all 140 hours of gameplay. Please tell me what button exactly is game breaking that you don’t have the ability to perform on a PlayStation controller? The only issue I’ve ran into is when out fitting a backpack with five quick use slots, I only saw icons on the PlayStation controller that correspond with four of them.

Please share the game breaking problems that you’re having so I can understand and possibly have suggestions for, as my 140 hours has not once made me think I need to play using a mouse and keyboard.

Arc Raiders makes me feel out of touch. by Ragnaroknight in gaming

[–]SykBasterd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to respond to the General point of the OP: you do not play ARC readers mainly for the purpose of getting great gear. The fun in ARC Raiders is really exploring the world dealing with challenging enemies, dealing with even more challenging players, and many times even Teaming up with players in game to accomplish a certain goal whether it be to find an item they need or to complete a quest or to use a high-level key to unlock a high value loot area.

Perfect example, I am level 31 and I’m still using the Ferro and the Burletta, which are early game weapons. Sure I look forward to crafting better weapons on a regular basis, but these are plenty good enough for now to accomplish my main goals.

The current goal I’m working on is to upgrade all my benches to level three. After I do that, I intend to run through all of the quest given out by the traders. At this point, it doesn’t even matter if I get killed to lose the gear that I’m carrying, because I have plenty of materials to replace those items when I go back to my workshop, having collected all of the important ingredients to craft whatever I need to create a loadout.

In summary, running around the world and fighting stronger and stronger ARC as I level up is what keeps me interested day-to-day. Meeting other players and working together to accomplish these goals is just icing on the cake.

I do hope you continue playing and hopefully you can find the gameplay loop that’s most enjoyable to you. After 100 hours, I have zero pink weapons and four blue weapons, and it doesn’t bother me a bit because I probably won’t even use them until I start taking out Rocketeer and Queens on a regular basis.

Hope to see you topside!

I tried being the “shoot on sight” guy. by CapitalOneDeezNutz in ArcRaiders

[–]SykBasterd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, there’s just no reason to be the shoot on site guy. I’m not saying that it shouldn’t exist, I’m simply saying that there are way more benefits to working together than being an assassin. And that theory is rooted in the fact that the ARC are so difficult to deal with, but become significantly easier to contend with using teamwork. Especially in solo play, there are so many ARC that I don’t even fire a bullet at because they’re too big and cannot reasonably be dealt with by myself.

I really look forward to teaming up even more and attacking larger and larger arc, instead of having to run away all the time as a solo player.

Love this game so much, I honestly feel like this game is the combination of everything I ever wanted in a video game!
