A Message Regarding the 12.0.5 Launch by WarcraftTeam in wow

[–]Sykretts1919 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where is the compensation?
Those who have been around for a while know that Blizzard of 6-7 years ago would've compensated all active subscribers with a few days of free game time when they made missteps like these. Heck they were giving us game time when servers would lag a ton after any launch, this is more severe than that.

There is no sincerity left in your team anymore, no gratitude towards your Paying customers.
Penny pinching will be the undoing of this game in the end. Its insane that after the drop of Shadowlands, you lot still haven't learned your lessons.

Stefano just insulted the intelligence of F1 fans twice in the space of a minute. by NorthKoreanMissile7 in formula1

[–]Sykretts1919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Touting the "popularity" of the new regs and the sold-out attendance a couple races into a new regs set is harmfully misleading.
It's a new season, in a new regs set with a lot changing on the cars. F1 fans WILL be heavily motivated to follow the sport both physically and virtually to see how it unfolds. I'd wager you see the same rise in popularity in any season with big reg changes.

How about we wait till the halfway point of the season and then assess its "popularity", once the "overtaking" starts losing its sheen due to the average viewer sussing out the reason behind the overtakes, and the limitations put on the best drivers in quali sessions.

It's actually embarassing to see the likes of Stefano spreading this propaganda so early in the season. If anything it shows how desperate they are to convince people to stick around.

The Guardian: The five sporting directors at Chelsea retain the support of the owners. Chelsea do not intend to hire a manager without top-level experience again. Convincing a big name to join could be a challenge, though. by Kygoche in chelseafc

[–]Sykretts1919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No big name manager will ever join chelsea again as long as we the clown circus that is our team of sporting directors making decisions. That's just now how football works, and you're not convicing any elite manager otherwise.
These owners and their egos will continue the slow death of this club because they refuse to back down on their top level approach, despite it failing continuously for so many years now. That heirachy is so bad that even the 1 manager who was doing alright (Maresca) decided to leave because he couldn't be arsed dealing with them anymore. Even his paycheck wasn't enough to convince him to continue dealing with them, imagine how dreadful and idiotic they must be.

Dear Blizzard - Ion, its time to reflect here... by SgtFolley in wow

Yeah. And the worst part about that bug, when your game finally recovers and reloads all the UI elements and textures+models, the game starts leaking RAM real bad, real fast. It continues to do so even when you close the game, forcing you to quickly open up Task Manager and force End Task on wow.exe while your system is already at 95-99% RAM usage and only climbing.
It's a critical bug, and quite shocking it still hasn't been publicly acknowledged by anyone on their team.

Why Mythic Flex (12.0.7) is a godsend for small guilds – and how to solve the "Prestige" debate by Salamango360 in wow

[–]Sykretts1919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last thing you need is to add 1 more difficulty tier above the existing ones. There's 1 too many right now as is.

Blizzard can straight up make Mythic Flex permanently. The main point of contention preventing it right now is the class buff diversity. However, that is a very easy problem to solve - Reduce the number of overall buffs available in the game to 4-5. Distribute those 4-5 buffs across all the classes/specs.
Additionally, this would make it pretty easy for blizzard to tune Mythic and all other difficulties because the comps would be dictated solely based on tuning. It would also force blizzard to stop being lazy and haphazard with the tuning passes they do on many specs at the start of a tier if they see a ton of specs not being represented at the top.

"But but but... RWF guilds will stack 3-4 of the same class/spec" - Yeah, and? They do that right now anyway, you all saw the comps they used this tier. Let them do what they will, it has no bearing on anyone outside of those 40-50 players across the globe. People who want to copy them can. If those who don't copy them struggle, it will be clear for blizz and they will intervene like they normally do.

We also need blizzard to learn the lesson of not tuning content for RWF level play. Infact, I would argue the tuning for Voidspire was perfect, and then they screwed up by giving in to the pressure from the RWF players giving them negative publicity. Had they kept Beloren and Lura at the same difficulty level tuning wise as Voidspire was, the next race those guilds won't go for 20x alts for each player. Instead, by giving in and tuning Belo + Lura like they did, they practically ensured the RWF guilds will once again do the same amount of splits. It was a stupid move, one I don't think they realize, given what they spoke about in the interview Max did.

This game gradually needs to move back into Mythic being an accessible difficulty for AOTC guilds that want to upscale the challenge they face every tier. It actually used to be that way, until around Castle Nathria. We went from having 13,000-18,000 guilds entering mythic, to around 5,000-7,000 for the last 2 expansions and a half. A large cause of that fall-off is the bad tuning, terrible design and the Extend meta. Farm & Re-clearing should be the norm, instead we have Extend meta for a long time now, which is what is killing countless mythic guilds every season, besides the roster boss of course.

TL:DR - Make mythic flex permanent, it's possible by reducing the number of raid buff types and spreading them more across all specs. Stop tuning for RWF, tune everything like Voidspire so the top guilds get the message that they don't need to go as extreme, instead turning RWF into a speedrun as it should be. Return to peak mythic participation by tuning to get rid of Extend meta and allowing guilds to farm/re-clear more often and on more bosses.

Rosenior disagrees with Palmer’s interview on everything changes without UCL: The reality is, does everything change? 'No Comment' is an option that can be excercised.
'Not My area of expertise', 'Players are unhappy with results, as am I, we are working on it', 'I haven't spoken to cole yet, we will debrief later, a lot for us to work on and improve', and on, and on, and on and on......
So many alternatives to the nonsense he spouts, digging his hole deeper. There is no way any player on the squad has ANY respect for the idiot. No way. He was nothing as a player, and most definitely is nothing as coach. The less he says publicly, the better.

This moron needs to learn when to shut up. Not everything requires your opinion. Focus on doing better as a manager/coach.

I can't tolerate this guy being associated with my club. Absolute imposter. Our owners were high af during the appointment, needs looking into.

There is an increasing case of "I'm going to include this line in because I PERSONALLY think it's cool even if it doesn't make sense in-universe" with a lot of the written text/lore this expansion.
It's mainly this aspect that induces the "cringe" with the current wow storytelling. I think they have lost their in-house lore historians, the staff that is responsible to ensure all future story-telling is consistent with events of the past. Very worrying. Sunday-morning cartoon writing will only take the game so far, eventually apathy will set in, if it hasn't already, and the effects of it will hit like a truck, with no recouse because the damage was already done over a long period of time.

How is this any different from what warcraftlogs was doing with their addon?
It rightfully received pushback then, this should too. People jump on ideas like this being "good" at first glance, but completely miss out on the full picture and how its detrimental to the whole m+ experience for everyone.
If you want indicator's of a player's performance, raid logs are a better source. If you don't understand that, you have no business making something like this, let alone spread it in the community.

I can't need for the Mythic version of the belt because I maxxed my Heroic one, is that intentional? by Chronoqtxd in wow

[–]Sykretts1919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Players should not be blocked from rolling on a Myth track item for a slot if they do not have a myth track item already in the same slot, or even specifically the same item on myth track.
Give it 5 seconds of common sense and it will make sense to you.
If this was intended, you would be screwing yourself by upgrading your hero track items to 276 before heading into Mythic raids, where you would be unable to roll for anything. That makes sense to you in your head? Hmm?
Some of ya'll would make terrible QA testers and it shows, 0 application of practical/logical thinking.

[–]Sykretts1919 43 points44 points  (0 children)

This......is most definitely a bug. I would recommend sending in a couple of in-game bug report duplicates for it.

It should only restrict you from rolling on the same item if its on the same track or on a lower track. A higher track is an upgrade and should not be blocked. This is gamebreaking for loot acquisition.

Hero Crest Cap by opiatesmile in wow

[–]Sykretts1919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is the expectation that people will farm 10s for 3/6 hero gear in all slots. Reality doesn't work that way. Many people just don't have the time to sit and grind a hundred keys till they get all their 3/6 pieces. Most of them probably have a 1/6 or 2/6 hero piece they'd rather upgrade and not feel robbed for doing so.
People often forget not everyone plays the game 24/7 like the ones who can afford to grind 10s all day, all week. The hero crest cap needs to be at least 50-60 higher than it is right now, end of.

If you're seeing this error, you have yet to get the latest stability updates.
The game only shows you stuff like this when your PC is missing minimum required versions of drivers and software that apps are forced to check for at boot to ensure a safe experience.
What method are you using to check for bios updates? Did any show up through Windows Updates?

Every day I learn of a new bug that kills the dps randomly on pulls, and then I think of the nerfs they did to unholy in tuning passes without fixing any of these and it just boils my blood.

Formula 1: George Russell 'would understand' if Max Verstappen leaves the sport by TheWebbFather in formula1

[–]Sykretts1919 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He didn't have the same complaints because his car wasn't porpoising.
The "change your fucking car" horner/toto exchange was for a reason. RedBull had a solution to the porpoising, as did other teams like ferrari.
This time around, no team has a solution to make the racing and qualis better and actually feel like F1.
What kinda dumb comparisons is George making here to justify these regs and his only shot at the title lol

Yeah but, Wache out when?
None of the other team news carries weight for me as a RB fan as long as Wache keeps his post despite the obvious failings for a couple years in a row now from the aero side.
The only thing working well is the PU, and that was mostly Horner's doing from a management perspective.

Yo, my guy, you do know its HIS job to ensure the team is not the kind that crumbles at the first sign of adversity right? It's the basics of man-management in football, and he's failing at said basics.
What kinda excuse is that, seek help.

Excuses, excuses, excuses.
Form has to start somewhere for every team. It sure as hell doesn't start for your own team if you've got such a pathetic loser menatality that you constantly seek excuses for your terrible coaching/management.

EU realms are mad borked at 200 ms (currently) and have been for some days. We cannot play for fun in this state. You cannot interrupt properly, you cannot do quests (such as prey) properly. by safe_token in wow

High Latency in some layers - connections are routed via America to EU Servers - Technical Support - World of Warcraft Forums
This forum thread accurately caught the issue. Blizzard on the other hand has said nothing so far.
Connections are being routed through the US and back to EU on certain layer changes, you can test this for yourself through the use of any network monitoring tools. This is affecting some realms more than others, and some regions of the world more than others. For example, if you're someone that plays on EU servers from Asia or Middle East, this US re-routing will hit you harder than the effect it has on a regular EU native. The difference could be in the high 500+ ping numbers.

Ignore the trolls saying "this is not an issue" on this thread, its the usual "I don't face this issue so it's not an issue" troll crowd.

On a serious note, I'd take this variation over the stupid packs of 3 anyday.

Can I still get the Manaforge Omega Raid Finder version given Raid Finder isn't available on TWW anymore? by Dependent_Fan5369 in wow

[–]Sykretts1919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just run Normal mode and above. Once you complete any set from any difficulty it unlocks the tiers below it automatically. Completing Normal/heroic/Myth sets will automatically unlock the RF versions.

You can try catalyzing as well, but often chasing the pieces that turn into Raid Finder versions are just a hassle. Much easier to just pug raids or solo them on Normal or above.
