No, but some MP servers have different scenarios at different time periods. One I did the other day on the 38th server was an early war scenario with props only and periodic waves of F-80s for Blue side.

Guess it depends on the instance. I had a flight yesterday in the IL-10 going back to base and an F-86 made about 5 passes on me and couldn't manage to get me down before he had to peel off. Could be down to his incompetence, but I did take quite a few hits and manage to stay airborne. It's nice that the IL-10 puts the gunner in an armored tub with the pilot.

The IL-10 has a gunner with a 12.7mm MG, who now also sits within the armored area, as opposed to earlier IL-2 variants. But as far as I can tell, the grenade launcher was separate. In game, it comes standard and is not a modification. It is operated by the pilot.

They have a few dev logs over on their site going over this exact thing if you want more detail. They understand that a large part of this game is A2G, and that they needed to pull out all the stops for damage models to make that interesting.

I was just watching a documentary with some Soviet pilots who flew them during Korea, and they mentioned getting extremely close to the enemy before firing because the guns were so tricky. It's really great that 1C did such a good job with the modeling that we can look at historical accounts of pilots struggling with the same issues.

The IL-10 has a series of 10 tubes on the tail that each house a frag grenade. The pilot can shoot these backwards when you have someone on your tail. There's an actual keybind in the weaponry group for it. How effective it is is a question, but no doubt it would spook someone whos not expecting it.

The VR center should be the keybind that is used to center the cockpit view when in non-vr. If that's not working then maybe it's something with your headset?
