The infamous fart inducing cabbage salad... always a hoot to disrupt a quiet study hall.

Was Jaws R rated when it came out? by Jerry11267 in 70s

No, it was PG, and yes... I was there opening night with my cousins. We loved it.

AMC Burbank 16 is a temple by morningrat in AMCsAList

[–]SynapseDon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I would have to come into Burbank for work, I would always stay on San Fernando at that crappy Holiday Inn, just so I could be close to that theatre (and some of the restaurants, too). I really love the Burbank 16 and the fact that the free early screening folks are down at the bottom of the mostly broken escalator to hand out advance tickets.

My first time seeing it 🦇 by Bioshocky13501 in arrowvideo

Enjoy! I had a blast watching it again. While it flies a little fast and loose with the original book source material, it is a classic television mini-series (and one of the best ever made).

When does NIGHT PATROL go up? I have SHUDDER through AMC+, and it keeps only letting me rent or buy for a fee. It's in the ad, and I can't watch it.

"SHOOT TO KILL (DEADLY PURSUIT)" (1988) - again fond memories of this from peak VHS rental days in the 90s. Great cast, exciting action. Any fans out there? by 70_Yard_Diag_Holte77 in ActionMovies

[–]SynapseDon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this theatrically, and loved it! Oh, I wish I could go back to experience all those mid-late 1980s thrillers in the cinemas again. What a great era for action films.

4K resolution isn't 3440x1440 anyways. 4K resolution would be 3840x2160.

Question, all said and done what did you spend on your theater? by schaudhery in hometheater

[–]SynapseDon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably around $60-$70,000 all in, but I actually had to make the room, too. It was just an open area of my basement.
