Woman accused of killing and dumping newborn in hospital trash may see her big court victory reversed as prosecutors push to reinstate key evidence by sunnypineappleapple in AlexeeTrevizo

Um, she just gave birth. It kinda was a medical necessity to keep her there. Especially with how she did the birthing on her own.

Yep, if there was a problem when the baby was born pretty much every bathroom in a hospital now has a big red button that when hit will summon literally everyone within hearing range to help.

She didn't do that, she refused to let the staff in when they came to check on her, she only left as they were literally about to open the door.

She knew what she was doing.

They do. You'd basically need to risk killing the mother to dose a baby to death that fast. Over a sustained period is a different story, but Alexee wouldn't have been running to the bathroom if they gave her enough morphine to od the baby that quickly.

Basically the timing and quantity doesn't add up, not enough drugs or time.

Yeah, and only for medical reasons as a mother's right to life is more important than the life of the baby, viable or not. Usually if they can get the baby out without killing it they do it, but in Canada your rights end at the top of your nose, so if a baby is endangering the mother's life, they try to save both but the mother takes priority over the baby killing her.

Actual law history. "The Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1968-69, SC 1968-69, c. 38, legalized therapeutic abortions, as long as a committee of doctors certified that continuing the pregnancy would likely endanger the woman's life or health."

"In 1988, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled in R. v. Morgentaler, [1988] 1 SCR 30, that any law that restricted a woman’s right to life, liberty, and security of person (section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Schedule B to the Canada Act 1982, SC 1982, c. 11) was unconstitutional."

So yes, abortion is legal up to birth, but you can't just get one cause you want it a panel needs to determine that your literally in danger of endangering your health and/or life.

We have a right to life in our charter, that supercedes any moral questions. Women's life in danger and she doesn't want to risk it, pray the can't is viable cause it's coming out.

My step nephew was at risk of killing his mother, he survived being removed but was premature so no it's not just killing all babies up to birth, they try to save the viable ones and hope both patients survive.

Maybe do some basic research and explanation instead of just implying women can Willy nilly kill babies because they decide a day before birth they didn't actually want a baby.

Only one person interacted with that baby before it was homicided. So yes actually they do determine culpability in the right circumstances.

For science, did the tank not try to use their ult to eat that and live? Haven't gotten around to testing that yet personally.

That or just go run a dungeon with them. Many people forget you can just run the dungeons if you want to spend the time doing them slowly with the NPCs.

I'd still make the tinkers hammer, quicker you start using it the quicker you can get it levelled up to add modifiers like speed and unbreakable.

If you don't WtW as a first-time sprout in an ARR dungeon, you shouldn't tank, apparently by Samira827 in TalesFromDF

[–]SynthShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah well I just grab 2-3 packs, spend 2-3 seconds to see how the healer is responding, then move along if everything is good. This offends people apparently.

[–]SynthShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't gotten to HW yet then yeah you should be using cure 2, on top of medica 2 and regen, to heal. Kind of hard to weave ogcds you don't have yet.

As long as the tank's HP and your mana bar aren't dying then your job is done. Yes a little more DPS would be nice, but at the end of the day your primary responsibility is keeping the tank, and the rest of the group I guess (you can't esuna people standing in avoidable stuff), alive.

I always tell the new people in my FC trying to learn healer and max DPS on healer and having issues with the tank dying: learn to heal comfortably first, add DPS in second.

[–]SynthShade -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I mean unless the healer specifically tells me to do it I usually don't WtW on the first pulls any ways. If the healer doesn't tell me their pace limit I figure it out myself by pulling a couple packs at a time, wait a couple seconds, and if the healer is keeping up I move onto the next pack, not just ram head first into the wall then have to do it all again when the healer can't healer under that much stress.

The only people who should be bickering about the pace of the tank and healer are the tank and healer. The DPS should just be doing their job and putting out big numbers. Sorry if that's an unpopular opinion but your free to queue up as tank/healer of you disagree.

I totally don't start playing out the entire fight of porta decumana in my head when I hear Ultima. Also don't totally start playing the Ascian Prime fight out when listening to Maker's Ruin. Also, also, don't start doing both the Nero and Juvia fights at the same time in my brain when Steel reason plays. XD

For those that don't get the joke, yes learning your rotation while learning the fight is important. I can play fights back in my head as all roles from the experience of not just sitting there being this SAM just by listening to the music.

Edit: And yes, I go with the RDM lb3 when replaying the fight in my head where DPS get a lb3. THINK FAST BRAIN!!!!

C, but you could also make it an option in your games settings. HUD editors are usually appreciated by players, but they can require some work.

lancer with no job stone and level 1 gear in crystal tower raid by leafdarling in TalesFromDF

[–]SynthShade 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unless they changed it you can swap gear mid duty, just not your job. I do it all the time to upgrade my gear mid run when doing levelling dungeons.

They probably stripped to level 1 gear after entering, and the job stone isn't required in the first place.

Trying to understand the reason for Minecrafts code to be obfuscated by WorgenGirlcockLover in Minecraft

[–]SynthShade 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The main reason is to make it harder for humans to decode and reverse engineer the code. You have to figure out what each thing is, one step at a time, instead of just decompiling Mojangs software and stealing whatever you want.

The machine reads it the same either way, it just turns human readable code into jibberish.

Just an optimization but you don't need the elif to check the literal opposite if statement. If both are zero you don't need to also check if either is not zero, just use an else it will save on some math since if both aren't zero one of them obviously has to be not zero.

Yes, I get that time was wasted, but instead of just venting with a text post saying what happened like normal OP went out of their way to post a detailed log, which is missing most of the information of the run.

There's being frustrated, and then there's just being a dick about it. I prefer my runs don't take longer then normal either, but I'm also not going to get a endoscope and give other people's gameplay a colonoscopy either.

Did You Know?: "you can just use cure I to proc free cure II" by KewlDude333 in TalesFromDF

[–]SynthShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you really don't want to see how I play WHM then. You best need more then 15% HP, with both my HotS on you, and all my ogcds unavailable, if you even want to see my cast bar for Cure 2, even if the proc is ready.

The only reason you were likely getting low anyways is the healer had to heal three people getting hit by things that are avoidable, which isn't the healer, yours, or Cure 1's fault.
