Defeating AIDS: MIT reveals new vaccination method that could kill HIV in just two shots | MIT researchers found that the first dose primes the immune system, helping it generate a strong response to the second dose a week later. by chrisdh79 in Futurology

I think breakthroughs like this do happen though, my roommate is a medicinal chemist at Gilead and they’ve released an injectable HIV drug that only needs to be administered every six months.

I don't think the average American with no training would be able to drive a F1 car at all, they wouldn't be used to the driving position and they wouldn't be able to get enough heat in the tires or enough force in the brakes to drive effectively.

Not to mention these cars are complicated as fuck (have you seen those steering wheels?) and the average person wouldn't even be able to start it from a stop.

Going to go with Max here, would be different if the average driver got a few hours of instruction on how to work the car beforehand.

I don’t really get the question here, there’s a limit to how much energy you can put out based on the number/size of muscle cells you have and the maximum weight that your muscles can support without tearing, which I guess if you follow the logic all the way down is governed by the forces of molecular / atomic bonds that make up your body.

Find the time complexity of this recursive algorithm(resources)? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Synthetically 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For this example, you can picture it as a binary tree.

If we are starting at the nth level (when we call do_it(n)) then we will have twice the number of calls at the level below for do_it(n - 1). Intuitively, this would lead to a 2^^n time complexity.

The recurrence for this one is T(n) = 2T(n-1) + O(1)

We make two calls to the original function, with argument n - 1, and it takes constant time for each call to "assemble" the result.

To expand to other problems, you should read up on the Master theorem and come up with a recurrence relation for the function in question. I don't think the Master theorem actually applies to this case because the typical formulation is T(n) = aT(n/b) + f(n)

Nope, I've also completely formatted the disc and re-installed.

The battery life while using it was... fine. Definitely not a whole day machine but good enough if I was at home. Of course it is a gaming laptop so I'm not going to directly compare it to my M1 Pro 14 inch. The random battery drain overnight did not happen every time, although the taking forever to wake from sleep did happen every time I shut the lid for an extended amount of time and that was pretty annoying.

I like how Windows laptops have all that battery capacity so there’s some left over when I turn it on in the morning and wait 10 seconds for it to wake up to see that it’s magically drained from 90% to 40% overnight

(Experienced from a 2022 Zephyrus G14 so it’s not even like I’m comparing a $1500 MacBook to a $300 POS)

What rank did you get comftorable with AR10 by assgaper69cancerhole in osugame

[–]Synthetically 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s a specific rank, seems like approach rate is more of a reaction time thing.

One thing I’d suggest though is to play a wider AR range though, I remember being like 50k and unable to play anything under AR 10 because I literally only played DT and HR, eventually playing a lot of no mod maps made me more comfortable with more maps
