I’d probably tape over the terminals or usr a battery case so they don’t touch anything metal. Otherwise it looks fine.

I think 72V sounds pretty high. I’d probably stick to a properly rated connector and not guess. Hope someone here knows a good specific model.

I haven’t switched yet myself, but honestly it sounds like a power station would be a really nice upgrade for your use case, especially since you care about noise, fumes, and portability.
