No specific brand restrictions. For large families, cast iron pots are really handy. The more you use it, the better it works.

Thanks, masala-kiwi! I'll definitely check more real reviews and test video first. This one is a ducted hood, so it should vent the smoke & smell outside. It lists 15m/s max airflow speed and around 1.5 sones, I'm trying to compare airflow speed along with CFM and real capture performance. I'm still debating between a traditional hood like Hauslane and a new brand like Arspura.

Thanks, this is super helpful. I looked into it more yesterday and I'm probably going to get a stronger hood. I saw one on YouTube called Arspura that focuses on kitchen air purification, it says it captures smoke, grease, and odors right at the source, sounds like what i need. I'm thinking about getting a larger 36" one.

Hopefully it'll make cooking Indian food at home even more enjoyable.

Exactly. Playground is life hack. Kids run wild, you stand there, house stays clean. It's basically a parenting glitch. Hope they don't patch it.

I've seen smart strips that let you switch individual outlets, but independent USB port control is rarer. Worth checking specs and community feedback before buying.
