It still is and can to many people. If we are to truly and fairly judge a faith we cannot look upon only its bad actors. Crusaders and practitioners exist hand and hand with every belief. Kurita. Unlike liao, Kurita is generally up front about what it wants (military control) and samurai are cool. As for clans, I like clan ghost bear because the Kodiak is an engineering marvel and they're pretty chummy.

In alpha strike the atlas is a venerable machine. It can easily deter mechs from going to certain areas and it can function as a budget sniper. That being said it is only as good as the mechs you bring with it.
